@ozziereviews will do mate, not liking the new public safety bill they have proposed, new police powers and changing licencing, why spend all this money changing legislation Instead of putting it into hospitals or infrastructure something we actually need.
Thanks Ozzie for letting us know. Just to let every one know I had an attempted home invasion Easter 23 1am in the morning. The side gate was kicked down and by the time I got to the back door there stood a masked man pointing a rifle at me behind the patio door. I was lucky I had locked it that time as I usually will not have done. Shots were fired at the back and through the front window. The police were able to get there in about 10min. What if they could not? If He had of got in I know I would be going to jail. Castle Law is an absolute must for any man to protect his family. I cant believe we have to even have this discussion. Believe me it is a terrifying experience to go through. I have lived in my Logan suburban house for 37 years and have never had any trouble. Crime is on the increase it is more important than ever. It has been proven if criminals have a lot to loose there would be far less home invasions. I say there should be no rights for home invaders and they should financially pay there victims for emotional terror with 10 years mandatory jail. I am going door to door and telling every one I know to sign this Castle Law Bill. There is know option, it must pass and you know it.
I’m sorry to hear you had to go through this mate and I agree with you in that this Bill needs to pass, it’s time for the good people to have the rights in my view…
I have a relative who woke up when he was 18yo with a man standing over him with an axe raised!! That was decades ago and he still is a very anxious person as a result... That very much shaped my views, and Ive always been ready to protect my family and would happily do so, regardless of what politicians think.
If you don't fight, you can't win Yes they have made it very hard, but given few of us vote, how do you think anything will change, yes they will trash at least 25% of votes etc.
I've signed the petition. As for the 'Safety Bill' I emailed ALL those associates yesterday. I'm currently trying to convince more of my friends and neighbors.
100% agree, it's about good people having legal protections if criminals decide to break into your home. For those 'bleeding hearts' that disagree and are more concerned about the rights of these criminals, how about don't commit criminal offences by breaking into people's homes and attacking them, then you'll have nothing to worry about!
Anyone who doesn't like the idea of protecting their own families in their own homes can simply allow home invaders to do whatever they want 😂 Me OTOH... I'm going down fighting (Regardless of what the law says)!!
What really gets me baffled is that I enlisted to serve and protect this nation in the 80/90's but i am in no way allowed to protect myself, my family or my property as a civilian now especially when Qld police, and all over Australia, are showing they have no control or effectiveness until after the fact. Too bad that by the time the police can act it is usually too late for the home resident who has just been invaded. As a firearms instructor back in the day we had a sayibg, better to judged by 12 of my peers than carried in a box by 6 of my friends. This Bill is needed, SIGN THE PETITION if you consider your freedom as a right.
G'day Ozzie. Appreciate the heads up brother. Will definitely read the Castle Bill law and no doubt sign it. I live in Townsville, and this youth crime spree is way out of control. Anything that can allow ourselves to defend our family and homes is a great thing. The police have their hands tied by this excuse for a government, so it is up to us to step up! Sorry about the dog mate, I know how attached you can be with them. Keep up the great work mate, and hopefully, with the support of all shoters in Queensland, we can get bthis bill pushed through. Cheers from Nth Qld.
Thanks mate, it’s about good people having some rights when a criminal breaks into your home, so I thank the katter party for this, at least they are trying to make change happen but we all need to do our part too 💪

Emailed in my submissions for the Queensland Community Safety bill 2024 and also emailed my local members about having an extension added so we have more time to go over all the submissions in the bill properly. With over 100 pages of changes, two weeks this isn't enough time. I then signed the Castle Law petition you pasted onto this video and sent the link to all my QLD friends.
Your channel just popped up in my feed! Not as shadow-banned as you think. Old pistol shooter here, got gun channels in USA, this my first Aussie one. I am in NSW. Won many state titles, two National Championships, South Pacific Championship, and represented Aus at 3 worlds, coming 26th-33rd, all back in the 80's. Good to catch up with laws etc and listened to the end, then subscribed. Re dogs, the meanest people have the nastiest dogs. Reason is your dog, or horse, is a mirror of your soul. So they keep a big savage dog to guard the stash, guns, drugs, stolen goods or contraband. But most have no idea re dogs, until its too late. Good vid, looking forward to more. At 76 yo I am awake, aware and alert, watching this crazy world.
I agree we need to play the same game as the antis'. Use the word "sound moderators". Yes it's a weasle word but it softens the term and takes away the Hollywood fear factor.
Is there a “Stand your ground” provision in the “Castle Doctrine” Bill? I’m of the view that shooters should form committees in EACH electorate of any member of parliament that doesn’t support the legislation, with the aim of their defeat at the next election. Start campaigning, do letterbox drops detailing each vote they make in the house, detailing each vote they are absent from the house, detail ALL the assets they have declared to Parliament AND detail the assets of each of their family members. Canvass EACH of the persons and organisations who have donated to them or their party. Btw, the Qld firearms laws are already ridiculous and too expensive.
As far as I can tell the proposed legislation pretty much allows any degree of force or weaponry at your disposal (including firearms, actually shooting as well) if conditions like the person breaking in with a group, breaking in at night or actively threatening your life with a weapon are met, in cases where the person is completely unarmed and is only going after your property with the clear intent of stealing or damaging it you can only use less than lethal force to get them out (blunt force weapon, taser, pepper spray, etc).
I hear your frustration. The thing you may not be aware of is that we get no feedback when we sign a petition. I have signed countless petitions over the last 4 years and never had a response saying if it had an impact or not. Never. So you get to the point where you think, "what's the point?". This is not a democracy, we do not have a say, this is what living under dictatorship is like. That's the truth. Local members, Councillors, Katter, all of them are just on the money train. They will tell you what you want to hear to get re-elected.
Feel free to send it to him and let him know. I can’t do it all as I need you guys to help spread the word, so please do so and let me know his response 👍
Understand what you’re saying but I guarantee you if we had the Katter party in power, we wouldn’t have this BS in the first place. I will never give up because the moment you do, you’re a slave for life in my view

Hey mate, if I get broken into I would have to go to the other end of my house, probably passing the crook on the way, unlock my gun safe, get my keys for the ammo box, insert my bolt, and load my mag, if I don’t get into a scuffle with the crook in transit to my gun room he’s probably gunna be well gone. Will this petition allow you easy access to keep your weapon beside your bed or somewhere in near proximity without it having to be locked up?
Thanks for this, I'm checking it out now. I'm not a gun owner but i definitely agree to being able to defend your own property. Now is it once they enter your premises, or is it if they are outside trying to enter ? I'm getting a hog stopper, triple barrel shotgun. Two of them the long one and the short one. Check them out they are awesome for what this castle bill will require.
In summary, the rebuttal that may help others to write a submission to the proposed bill by tomorrow: The proposed bill you have provided contains a wide array of measures, ranging from changes in the court system to amendments in youth justice and traffic laws. Rebutting the fitness and propriety aspects related to firearm licenses specifically may involve challenging the practicality, effectiveness, and potential for unintended consequences of the proposed measures. Here is a critique of those aspects: Reform the ‘fit and proper person’ test in the Weapons Act 1990 by expanding the types of serious offending captured: Rebuttal: While adding additional categories of serious offenses to disqualify persons from holding a firearm license may seem reasonable to ensure public safety, there is a risk of it being too broad or vague, potentially disqualifying individuals based on minor or irrelevant infractions that do not accurately reflect on their ability to responsibly handle a firearm. Introducing a new category of disqualified persons: Rebuttal: This can be seen as an overreach if the new categories are not based on clear evidence linking the proposed disqualifications to risks associated with firearm ownership. Creating overly restrictive categories may also overwhelm the system with appeals and case reviews, reducing the efficiency of firearms licensing services. Extending the exclusionary period to 10 years in certain circumstances: Rebuttal: A blanket extension of the exclusionary period might be excessive and could fail to take into account individual circumstances and evidence of rehabilitation. This "one size fits all" approach may unjustly affect individuals who have shown they are capable of being responsible firearms owners. Introduce a verification process for purchasing small arms ammunition: Rebuttal: While it is important to regulate ammunition sales, requiring an extensive verification process could create administrative backlogs and could inconvenience legitimate license holders without significantly deterring individuals who are intent on obtaining ammunition through illicit means. In order to responsibly critique proposed firearm laws, one must consider the balance between public safety and the rights of lawful firearms owners. Any changes should be evidence-based, clearly defined, and should avoid imposing unnecessary burdens on law-abiding citizens while effectively addressing the risks posed by individuals who may misuse firearms.

Kids are being disenfranchised at school, they would love to be engaged in being productive in society, I have appealed to the community here to support their kids but people just turn away from helping
I am very sorry for the kids at the school here, they are being set up for failure
They are the youth crime of tomorrow
Help them now
Get involved in kids schooling, otherwise kids have a dark future before them
What is really scary I was only just talking about this to someone on my smart phone, then this site came up.... don't tell me they are not listening
Surely the government wouldn’t rush anything through yes?
What can we do in Victoria? Can we sign petition?
Find a politician in your state that will put forward a similar bill and get the ball rolling 👍
Sighned & shared👍
Wasn't a subscriber, but this was recommended. 😁
I can hear you!
WA was the testing ground. And the state succeeded.

Here is a critique of those aspects:
Reform the ‘fit and proper person’ test in the Weapons Act 1990 by expanding the types of serious offending captured:
Rebuttal: While adding additional categories of serious offenses to disqualify persons from holding a firearm license may seem reasonable to ensure public safety, there is a risk of it being too broad or vague, potentially disqualifying individuals based on minor or irrelevant infractions that do not accurately reflect on their ability to responsibly handle a firearm.
Introducing a new category of disqualified persons:
Rebuttal: This can be seen as an overreach if the new categories are not based on clear evidence linking the proposed disqualifications to risks associated with firearm ownership. Creating overly restrictive categories may also overwhelm the system with appeals and case reviews, reducing the efficiency of firearms licensing services.
Extending the exclusionary period to 10 years in certain circumstances:
Rebuttal: A blanket extension of the exclusionary period might be excessive and could fail to take into account individual circumstances and evidence of rehabilitation. This "one size fits all" approach may unjustly affect individuals who have shown they are capable of being responsible firearms owners.
Introduce a verification process for purchasing small arms ammunition:
Rebuttal: While it is important to regulate ammunition sales, requiring an extensive verification process could create administrative backlogs and could inconvenience legitimate license holders without significantly deterring individuals who are intent on obtaining ammunition through illicit means.

Considerations related to national security:
In the book "Danger On Our Doorstep," the author, underscores a critical
shift in modern warfare dynamics. The author articulates that, in contrast
to bygone eras of large-scale conflicts where nations often had a grace
period to mobilise and train their forces, contemporary scenarios may not
afford such luxuries. The stark reality presented is that the window to
enlist and adequately prepare new recruits could be perilously short [...]
