Love the cymbal which is heavily side chained / noise gated... really makes the groove.
I don't think side-chaining and noise gating was a thing for Paradox, especially in the 90s .....
Weltall The technology definitely existed, it was frequently used in 80's music. But i suppose he could have manually sliced the audio-files.
You can tell notes to mute while if others are played on the Akai S series
he prolly just chopped the tail in a few ways, hes talked about literally chopping in "air" as he described it from a break before
