I've had my Moto E4 for almost a year. I love it! As I tend to keep my phones for years, I must have a user-replaceable battery. (In fact, I just bought a second Motorola GK40 battery off Amazon, just as a backup - $9, no shipping & no tax). I also have a car mount which I use to watch videos during flights. It sticks to the tray table. I also bought a Bluetooth mouse to make navigation easier.

I would like to note that "Quick Capture" is not a manufacturer specific feature, but rather a feature first introduced into the Android open source code with the release of Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but not gaining huge popularity until the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Manufacturers have, however, silently allowed themselves credit for the feature.

The one thing I cannot figure out is how to lock text messages, how to turn the notifications off, and apply a zedge text message notification only. In moto e4 plus, is it the white blinking happening due to keeping multiple fingerprint options, i mean like if we keep 5,6 different fingerprints in the phone to unlock the white flickering happens? & Is there any in-built app for locking/unlocking phone apps via the fingerprint sensor? Also, In the settings when system tuner mode is made On then battery percentage displays in status bar but by switching off the system ui tuner the modification edit goes away. What happens if we keep the system ui tuner ON always, does it affect the phone? Is there a way without root where i can switch off the system ui tuner and keep the modification edit on the status bar. I wanted my battery percentage to show just like xiaomi in the status bar.
With a case on camera, hit power twice does not open camera to 'quick capture' for me. Instead, the camera ask me if I want to reboot. I have to hit power, then simply hit camera. Never been happy with the E4. Terrible volume, even on speaker phone. This is super important since I have significant hearing loss. The worse part is technical support. Heavy accents and they will hang up on you. Rare to find a help video like this one (with clear English). Hate that companies are so cheap, that they no longer include a decent instruction guide. The tiny booklet is pathetic.

Spilt screen like but havent been able to get one screen back stop screen split? Only caught 4 of your features I must need to replay it to get the other one. my 2year old Moto E 2nd gen has Guest mode, has the WiFi off on sleep (I use that), and has a quick-twist to activate the camera rather than a double-press of the power button. However I do like the split screen - as a pc user, it's one thing with smartphones that has bugged me for years
I bought Moto e 4 mobile....sound buttons are not working.intial days days it worked , now it is increasing and decreasing the volume. but for screenshot it is working .can u suggest me what to do????
Could you explain that last one a bit so when the phone is sleeping the wifi won't ring or tell you about messages only if it's connected to a charger?
I think what you tried to do in the first trick was taking a picture with the power botton ,you forgot to say if you press the volume button it automatically takes a picture
Double pressing the power button will launch the camera even if the phone is on, even if you've got another app on the screen. I just did tested both of those.
If we switch from user to Guest mode the major disadvantage is that the phone creates an extra memory space and making the phone slow. I recommend if at we want to hide an app we can use different launchers.
I am receiving Emergency alerts on my Moto E4 Plus. The text in the alert box consists of the various characters and cannot be interpreted. Help with the issue.
Sarah Cowan, you look up in settings 'wallpapers' and different pictures will come up. You can use your own pictures, and set them for home screen, and lock screen. Hope this helps! 💕
I don't know if I seen this, but the only way I could change the wallpaper to lock screen without changing the home screen is that I'd downloaded the Wallpaper app from Google at Google's play store. 🤔
I wouldn't want my wallpaper changed unless i changed it intentionally also I would want one simple and easy to use because i am not a computer whize kid that knows that much about these things
I have the E4 & I'm wondering if anyone else is having log in problems. Meaning after you type in your username & password. Hit log in & the app refreshes instead of signing you into the app.
Read the specs of the store, the specs of the E4 Plus can vary quite a bit. Some stores sell it with 2GB of RAM and the slow processor variation, while others sell it with the slightly better processor and 3GB of RAM. In the store where I bought my Moto E4 Plus, all specs of the plus model, including camera and processor, were superior to those of the regular E4.
norma gonzalez The motoE4 plus is the better phone that's why it's called plus. it has a 5.5 inch display a 5000 mah battery and fingerprint scanner for 150 or 199 on Amazon. it's better than the regular Moto E4.
Does anybody know anything about the double tap zoom? I accidentally tap the thing twice and the eges turn orange and the screen zooms I hate it and I don't know how to disable this dumb feature!
Marty Miata I think only the Verizon and Unlocked version has the fingerprint scanner, boost and metro PCs doesn't, what a shame, one of the good features for a budget phone
On my Moto e Everytime I try text my husband there is another phone number shows also so of course it days group msg instead of text msg. I have never sent a group msg and do not want to especially I do not want someone else to get Everytime I txt my husband to receive it help me please

Hold down on your home screen... Or open the pre-installed "wallpapers" app. These features aren't hidden.

not all versions have the scanner only certain carriers boost mobile sprint metro pcs to name a few doesn't have them

You can resize the windows in split screen by holding down that black bar between the windows , then drag to resize.
