Whether you get one, a dozen or none at all,the best part of the hunt is just being there. Smelling the clean cold morning air. Watching the sun come up while listening to the birds as they wake and throw off the nights cold. I love it.
I have watched this video for a long time. Love it it's my favorite and had a lot to do with my start in flintlocks. Beautiful flintlock weather nature etc. I just wish you made more videos like this one. Thanks God bless.
Very nice video. I married a country girl, never shot a gun before meeting her. I've since shot squirrels with a .32 flintlock and I think it's been some of the best hunting I've experienced.
I like flintlock squirrel hunting. I have a .36 caliber or sometimes I use my Brown Bess musket loaded with shot. I wish it snowed down here in Florida. I have to watch out for mosquitoes in the winter. :(
Love the rifle, would love to see more videos with the rifle. If you get a chance. If you happen across another one. I would be interestedKeep up the great work
Outstanding video, I just started flintlock shooting with a CVA mountian rifle .50 and I really want to get a .32 longrifle as I do some rabbit hunting.
This is a good video. Beautiful rifle, shot an experienced guy that can loads it fast out of the pouch afield. Way different then your typical bp youtube vids where loading the rifle off the bench is a big tedious production of grabbing this that and the other seemingly with no experience. I load my rifle fast out of the pouch, as was meant to be done. Thanks for the video.
I love flintlocks! I just started hunting with mine this year for pronghorn but no luck. I live in Idaho and squirrel hunting is just something we don't do. We have red tree squirrels that are illegal to shoot and a ground squirrel that some shoot but never eat. A 32 or 36 cal flintlock is on my bucket list and I would love to go squirrel hunting some day. I'm going to try for pronghorn again and maybe elk and/or deer next year. Great video and thank you for sharing! Good luck on your next hunt!
fallenpatriot 79 come out to iowa! we'll go on a flitlock squirrel hunt. you gotta go squirrel hunting cause seriously squirrel is GOOOOOD. chicken of the trees! but even better
Dan Means I just saw this reply now. I'd love to do that some day. I've only hunted big game and birds in Idaho and pheasant in North Dakota. Never any squirrel. My dad has eaten the red tree squirrel we have here and he said it was great. I'd like to try one.
Congrats on upgrading your rifle. Shes a beauty! I have one similar. A 32 on a 3/4" barrel l&r left hand flintlock. I also have a 45 flintlock rifle and a pistol. Mine offer very fast ingnition. I use my nipple pick like you do but just to clear the channel. Then i put in half a pan of priming powder. I close the frizzen and tilt the rifle so the priming is away from the touch-hole and i give the side of the rifle a little pat to settle the priming away from the touch-hole. That way the flash goes through the touch-hole instead of powder burning like a fuse. Try it and see if you dont think its faster. John Davis Jax Fl.
M&M E... good video! I have always wondered about hunting squirrels, we don't hunt or eat them here. The music was a bit too loud, it was hard to hear what you had to say. Nice hunt though. Thanks for the video.. Shad
I need to get a flintlock for squirrel. My flintlock is fifty caliber, and just doesn't work well for squirrel. I saw a Spanish made .28 caliber a while back, and I may see if it's still for sale.
That was a very nice gun you have there. Lots of nice curl in the wood. I'm not a hunter, so can you explain, do you aim for the squirrel or do you try and bark the squirrel? (hitting the bark of the tree below the squirrel.)
Man I want to see more of this content with the flinstock. I'm small but I still get out there to hunt and have a good time. So do u think u can post more of this . Also what is this song I love it !!!!!
afgmirmir that's were you are wrong!! you do want to eat squirrel you just don't know it. of all wild game it's the hardest to mess up. I've never had someone try it and not have a change of heart. for realz. squirrel is the chicken of the trees

Great Video. Nobody will ever understand hunting with a quality flintlock until they have done it.

Just discovered your channel . Immediately subscribed ! Thanks for posting quality videos like this ! Excellent!
Fantastic video, my friend. THIS is what a "hunting video" should be all about. Keep it up! Fine rifle and fine shot!
Thanks for the kind words, we really appreciate it!
enjoyed the video. very nicely done. Thanks for taking us along.
Gorgeous rifle. Nothing like squirrel hunting with a 32 flinter.

Absolutely beautiful rifle, nice video
Your rifle is gorgeous, I may do the same this winter. Great video!
Hope you get a chance to put together another squirrel hunt video this fall.

Thanks for the kind words! I agree with you, loading from the pouch is how i like to shoot, especially out in the woods! Thanks and shoot straight!
Beautiful rifle.

That is one beautiful rifle!!!!
Plenty of flintlock videos out there where they have no clue how to really use one. This guy however is right on the money 👏 great video
Very nice video. Clear loading procedure. Music was nastalgic. Well done thank you.
great video! beautiful gun!

I like that seat. I'd like to get one for deer season. Beats standing all day or sitting too low to the ground, thus uncomfortably.
I love that rifle!
nice rifle, mine is a .40 cal, which i chose because the ramrod is 3/8 rather than 5/16
Great video work!
Well done !

+John Doe, I always try to shoot for the head or chest which creates an instant humane kill.

where did you get the gun, and who made it. very nice..
+bowkill longbow, it's a custom made flintlock built by the maker K. Rob... I purchased second hand.
Who is the maker or brand of your flintlock?
It was made by the maker of K. Rob. I purchased the gun second hand so i don't know who the builder is, but the rifle is nothing short of spectacular.
enjoy while you have eyes.
Where can I buy a gun like that
love the vid thanks!
Where can i get one
i would love to hunt squirrel but i have no idea what to do with them :/ ( i dont want to eat squirrel)
+AFGMirMir7477 I eat them sometimes, but if I don't want them I always have a few people who love them so I just give them away sometimes.
