I may be crazy but I prefer the iPhone 12 notch. The iPhone 13 notch looks deeper. And if Apple is not using the extra space for battery percentage or other icons what is the point of changing the notch. Oh, to make it look different than the iPhone 12 😁
Yeah the same thing for the camera position, they just want the new iphones to look different so dumb people can flex with it nothing more than that🤦♂️🤦♂️
You’re not crazy. I’ve seen a lot of people that feel this way. I like the old camera layout better too. The new notch looks like a Chinese knockoffs notch too me.
That’s because the new notch is deeper by like a millimeter despite being narrower. Apple thought they were slick. We noticed.

@@teejaythomas79 Nah, they made the cameras arranged diagonally to implement sensor shift stabilisation into the main camera, which was previously only implemented in the iPhone 12 Pro MAX.

This is definitely an upgrade that if you have iPhone 12 do NOT upgrade. Same could have been said for the 7 to the 8 or the 6 to the 6s but this is the most iterative update Apple has EVER released EVER.
It you have an iPhone XR, XS or older you might could consider a upgrade. Over the time changed so many things that it now really does matter.
You wrong about 6 and 6s a9 way better than a8 cpu

app developers tend to update their apps also adding more features and more codes hence needs more processing power.

@@GWKrae the 13 is only about 20% faster than the 12. But apples clever marketing in the video they made says “up to 50% faster than the competition” which they have never said that in the past for their phones, they have always compared the speed improvements to the outgoing iPhone, not to the competition’s phones, they think they are slick and they know that the average joe is going to consider the 13 to be 50% faster than the last iPhone which would be fucking crazy since the iPhone 12 is already crazy fast. I’ve been studying apple for a long time now and they are especially sneaky with their choice of words on things.
@@CaptainGameSlayer I completely agree, it's not 50% faster, their speed is pretty close, also I don't really need the iphone 13's bigger battery because I'll be staying home most of the time bacause of the pandemic. So longer battery life wouldn't really matter.

I guess… it is a better camera, better battery life and better processor.
So for a bit more money you get these little improvements which make the phone better. And the battery is really good on iPhone 13 (that is the thing i like the most)
But if you own an iPhone 12 it just doesn’t worth to make the upgrade

I come from an iPhone 12 mini 128 GB, and I bought an iPhone 13 (regular size) 256 GB with a slight discount on Amazon (something like 979 euros instead of €1029 I think). I realised that the « mini » size is not cut out for me, and that all in all I prefer having a larger display. I’m absolutely in love with my new iPhone 13. The battery is absolutely AWESOME and lasts easily two days without charging it. Contrary to the iPhone 12, with which I had to constantly keep a charging brick in my bag in case I would run out of juice. Also, I always choose red products from Apple because it’s my favourite colour and I like the fact that some of the profits goes to AIDS research. And the red of the new iPhone 13 looks much better than the old red of the iPhone 12. On the iPhone 13 it really « pops », the colour is « deep », whereas on the 12 the red was kind of washed out. I didn’t like it. Also, there is indeed not a major leap in terms of performance coming from the 12, but still, there is a slight improvement as shown on the video. And the difference will probably show even more in the future. Also this slight improvement comes with less electricity consumption, hence the great battery performance. Contrary to what some people say, I think the new notch is much better. It definitely looks much smaller to me, less noticeable, and to me now it’s almost perfect. It remains there, after all it’s used not only for the self camera but also for the awesome Face ID, and I think it’s a kind a design « signature » for the iPhone. It has became iconic. And now, it’s noticeably smaller, which is great. To end my review, I would say the a 60 hz panel is enough on an iPhone, because iOS is much more optimised/fluid than android, and it’s not as easy to see the difference between a 120 hz compared a 60 hz screen on an iPhone compared to an android phone, on which it is very noticeable (this varies from person to person, but I own an iPad Pro with pro motion, thus 120 hz, and when I get back to my iPhone I the animations do not appear slower to my eyes. Also I saw some videos on UA-cam on which some random « non geek » persons couldn’t tell the difference either. I think the only area on which it could matter is gaming ; but do you really need high end computer panel refresh screens for… phone gaming?!). I think some people who are on the android world focus way too much on the spec sheet, whereas Apple focuses on the user experience. For instance, 4 GB or RAM on an iOS device cannot be compared to 4 GB of RAM on an Android device. iOS is well know for,managing RAM much better than android. I never experienced any app reload since I own my iPhone 13 on a normal use (remember that what you see on this video is a « stress test ; nobody open that many apps and heavy games at the same time). Apple is an hardware AND a very good very good software company, and it makes all the differences. The products are just perfectly optimised. So yeah, I’m one of this « lot » who came from a 12 series to a 13 series. I think it makes sense if you bough the 12 mini in the first place because you thought the 6,1 would be too big to you and then you realise that you where wrong. Just for a 100 euros increase, you get a better display (brighter), and smaller notch, better cameras, more performance (slightly, but still), a much more battery life, and a much more beautiful red if you choose that colour. So I think it can worth it if you’ve got the cash.
Thanks man, I need this. I want to switch from android and don’t wanna spend more money on the pro model, but the 60 hz screen hasitate me. The reason switching is I want to use this new phone for as long as possible, and iphone is the best for long term use, but even midranges samsung have 120 hz screen now. I don’t want to have worse user experience than everybody in a couple of years. Glad to know it isn’t very noticeable. But just in case, I’m gonna wait for ip 14 and maybe they’ll get a 120 hz screen or even a 90 hz on the regular model.

Apple makes software to slow old phones down to make new phones look faster. They been doing it for years
My iphone 12 definitely started getting worse battery life and i have noticed the slight slowdown
@@alisafaa4657 must be a bug because mine is still just as fast as the day I bought it, and I’ve had it since launch day, and tested multiple public betas since then, eventually switching to the official release of iOS 15. Never once did I have issues with speed. It’s way too soon for the 12 to have any problems with processing.
