I agree with the pushing him to be a legendary samurai part, but I feel like it also works to their advantage to use Yasuke since there isn’t really anything concrete historically. It makes it much easier to work his character into the AC franchise and gives them a more malleable character and storyline.

When it comes to the Star Wars films, specifically the last 3 was so bad to me and to many others was because they took Anakin’s story and made his prophecy obsolete, basically throwing the original 6 in a wood chipper and basically unraveling original lore for the sake of resurrecting palpatine and basically making Anakin’s prophecy and character nothing but a relic or an old wives tale and it pissed me off too as a woman and a Star Wars fan.
Nah let’s be honest, all the games that you stated that have female mc is not sequel (except last of us and even that we were able to play as ellie in one part of the story plus she was important anyway) ghost of Tsushima has all that blood, executions and samurai shi, and while I’m not really mad, it just would’ve made sense to keep it male mc, at least for me a sasuke looking ahh wielding a sword is better than a Sakura looking ahh wielding a sword. Still it’s not that big a deal
