the throttle position does not change when the pedal is pressed; the engine starts with a spray, it works at a speed of 1200-2500 rpm, but it stops when idling;no error at ECU
throttle change its position deffend on what percentage is the pedal press....ecu recieve the data on how the pedal sensor press (input).... then the ecu will command the throttle on its corresponding position (output) if pedal press hard like 40 to 50% then the throttle change its position into step zero or fully open loop to give more room for the air pressure coming from the turbo going to the intake....hence when the pedal is at rest then the throttle change into step 9 or close to closeloop kinda...to block the air from turbo... for the engine stay on normal air into fuel ration whether on higher or lower r.p.m the higher the pedal press the wider the opening ... less fuel need less air more fuel need more air same principle as the manually actuated throtle...on manual engine that the cable is attach on the pedal connected to the throttle... the difference on 4jx1 engine is inovation of technology by using electronic sensors and e.c.u to make it computer generated ... i hope i answer the question sir thanks for watching

I would not have bothered to purchase a new throttle Body. Just remove the 2 screws and slide out the Plate, calibrate the Throttle to 0.51V at Step 0, and then put a screw in the Vacuum hose going to the EGR Valve to completely disable the EGR system and save your engine a heap of future trouble.
