Thank you. Quick and to the point. Mine just went out. Super easy to replace thanks to your video. I’m actually kinda surprised the canbus didn’t tell me the headlight was out since it tells me every other time my bulbs go out.
Thank you for the video intro, it was very helpful. My security company has a fleet of Jeep renegades and this has truly saved time and money waiting on having a mechanic fix it.
This is what I allways check when looking for another car. This one replaces a bulb as it should. Other makes can be so much fuss you wont believe it. Thumbs up and thanks for showing us.
In the eight years I owned my Renegade I never popped open my hood. I always left it to the dealer or the oil change place. Openimg the hood was the hard part. Your video made the rest easy. Only 6 minutes to fix.
+Fernando Sousa No....thank you for watching and for finding the video. Its always cool to hear from people all over the world. Make sure to subscribe.....I have plenty more videos.
I nave a Jeep Renegade 2017 ' and wanted to replace the headlight bulbs but when i removed the rubber cover - instead of the bulb I gave this metal boxes - and not sure what to do ti gain access to the bulbs
To wjays the headlight connector called ? I have a shortage in one of mone and can't find one exactly like it online. Mine look just like yours thank you
The headlight assembly is a different story. I found out the hood grill, bumper grill, and a few other things must come apart to change it. One good thing about is I've got to change those things anyways thanks to a four point buck.
+MotorCity Mechanic Thanks for the reply, no worries I was just to impatient to wait so I googled it and it came up in a forum. Pretty easy. Should've done that in the first place.
The light plate light assembly is removed by using something like a pocket screw driver and gently popping the housing loose and then pulling it out the rest of the way. Appreciate you watching. Make sure to subscribe
David Vega Hey there David....the yellow tab was to do with the adjustment of the headlight bulb for aiming purposes. I haven't attempted to adjust one yet but I do remember that is what its related to. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe
Evening.....I haven't forgot about your question. I actually made a video about that adjustment and just need to edit it and upload it. I will shoot you the link as soon as I do within the next 24 hours
Morning. Here is the link to the video with a quick shoutout near the end. Should be avail to be seen in about an hour. Thanks again for the question. ua-cam.com/video/VQezO__UIYo/v-deo.html
Hi David, Would you be able to tell me how to replace a bulb in the day time running lights and fog lights. I don't think the lenses pop off so it would have to be from behind. How to get to those locations. Thanks Tom
+Tom Miller Evening Tom.....the get to the fog light bulbs you need to remove the fender well liner screws/bolts and pull back on the liner to access the fog light bulbs from underneath. The running lights are access the same way. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe
Morning.....I dont know what affect it will have by installing the LED's. I think it will be fine but being that I havent personally tried it...cant be 100% certain.
hey. my bulb jus went out this morning and I'm glad I found this video! question though....what kind of bulb is it so I know what to ask for? ..few places I called wanted to bang me $350 for the bulb and installation. I don't want any special kind of bulb.
I am not sure why they quoted so much unless they are talking about the complete housing. Here is a link to some different options. It appears its a H13 bulb. Hope it helps and make sure to subscribe . www.autozone.com/collision-body-parts-and-hardware/headlight/jeep/renegade/2016
+Robert Feenan I haven't replaced one myself as of yet. The park light/turnsignal is mounted directly below the headlights. If this is the same light that your speaking of then the service info states to unfasten the front of the fender well liner and pull it back to access the back of the park light assembly. It states to remove the assembly.......not sure if needed or if the bulb can be removed by itself. If I have a chance to replace the bulb in the future....I will try to film it. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe
Thanks for the reply. Did more research and you are correct (so far, I've not done it yet). Small panel in wheel well and all three bulbs: fog, turn, and DRL can be accessed. I want to swap for some LED bulbs but am finding it difficult to get the exact match. And not be stuck with some subpar bulbs that will still make the car thing the bulb is out. Wish me luck. Thanks again.
+Robert Feenan I plan on doing a video soon on the front bumper cover removal and will try to make sure to do one on that "light/bulb box". It's all new to me until I do it myself. Thanks for the added info
+MotorCity Mechanic It's been great going back and forth with you on my Renegade maintenance. I did replace the DRL bulb with a standard bulb (for now), and it was a little more difficult than I planned. For some reason the cover in the wheel well didn't want to release the bottom screw. In order to get more leverage, I had to remove the front tire. Needed the practice anyway. I purchased a spare tire, so I had a lug wrench and jack. With the tire off and a little prying on the screw, it came out. Saw the bulb with no problem, and was able to just pop them out and back in. That part was the easiest.
The procedure should be the same on the 2016 as well. As far as LED......I wont be much help there. The only parts I have installed are the OEM bulbs. Appreciate the question. Make sure to subscribe and check out my other videos as well
I havent checked to see if they have changed since filming. The rear bulbs were the ones that shocked me.....talk about going back in time, they are from the 60-70's. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe

I agree….never understood why the headlamps didn’t but all the other did.

Yeah some are easy and others arent. Seems the engineers dont talk to each other when cars are designed.....it needs to be serviced somehow.

I have a 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, and I wanted to know if I can replace my headlight bulbs with an LED Light Bulb?
Morning.....I dont know what affect it will have by installing the LED's. I think it will be fine but being that I havent personally tried it...cant be 100% certain.
I have the same model 2016 renegade trailhawk. Did you manage to replace it with LED? how is it? thanks!
