    Dear Annette, your love and enjoyment really shines through and you video today made me so happy because the detail and effort you put in is not only useful, but we get to see the beauty of all the varieties that are blooming. This year I have more than last year because some of the ones I sowed were not blooming the first year, so maybe I sowed them too late. I loved many of the ones you showed today and that last shot of them all together was glorious. My mother in law got some from a nursery this year and they are stunning bold colours, which I am hoping to get some seeds for myself if I can find a seed seller that sells seed mixes. Your joy is really coming through and is so infectious. I could easily spend hours walking in your beautiful garden and chat with you about all the colour schemes and ideas you have for planting up your flowers. Thank you, and I hope you are blessed with an abundance of your most favourite blooms. XX

    I‘m growing many of your varieties this year and potamac lavender has been the most prolific one. I‘ve been cutting and cutting from it and it just doesnt stop producing nice long stems for over 8 weeks now.
    I am really excited for your dahlia videos and would suggest that you try Waltzing Mathilda next year. It‘s really beautiful!!

    You have opened my eyes to appreciate the Snapdragon. I always pass by the "big standard" not really giving it a thought . BUT I'd write a favourite and then you would show another 😊 I think I'm going to add a few of the Potomac line next year to add much needed height in my very small garden. Thanks for a lovely comparison and it seems to me a complimentary type of flower.

      Hi Stan, I don;t tend to collect the seeds from my snapdragons because a lot of them are F1 but also, because I grow so many varieties, they will probably cross-pollinate and then I won't know which colour will grow from the seed. 😊

    This was so helpful! For the past handful of years I’ve grown the rocket variety and am getting a bit bored. I think I’ll order the Potamac series from Johnny’s Seeds here in the US come fall. I start mine always in January- it usually takes 3 weeks for mine to germinate. So I definitely need to go watch your seed starting video for tips!

    • @cottoverdi

      Ah, yes, I used to have the rocket variety too but I love the Potomac for the tall strong stems and their simplicity. 😊

    @catreeves963 Місяць тому +1

    Annette you’ve added a few more snapdragons to my growing list! Costa lavender for example 🤤imagine that pairing with a coffee colour rose?? Very jealous of your Potomac royal - there was some sort of issue with seed over here in the southern hemisphere so not an option this season unfortunately. I’m trying to get Christmas bouquets of Potomac ivory and red so fingers crossed that timing works out. Have you considered planting your snap dragons in the autumn? I always get much healthier crops when planted in the autumn - particularly for the group ones and twos. P.s that sanguisorba is awesome!

    • @cottoverdi
      @cottoverdi  Місяць тому

      Hi Cat, yes, I've sown snaps in the autumn in previous years but last year we were on holiday during the sowing window so I sowed in February. To be honest, they are plenty tall enough for my garden and so I don't mind that I sowed them 'late'.
      What a shame about the lack of Potomac Royal - I'd really miss that vibrant colour! 😊

    Hi Annette first of all your flowers are so beautiful, talking about snapdragon. My neighbours snapdragon was poking through the fence, I didn't know what it was so cut 1branch and planted it and now I've got 6 plants out of that. Its a peachy colour. Watching your program makes me want to buy all colours. And love the music as well. Could you please tell me what music is that. Many thanks Anna 😊
