Hopelessly devoted to you is a classic and iconic song. And Olivia sang it with her interpretation which I think is beautiful and really describing Sandy.
So proud of Liv😍 She's the perfect Sandy and deserves this role sooooo much!
Saw this 21st july. front row seats. it was the best show, the cast was amazing. i'm going back again to see it, cant get enough of this show. love it love it

Olivia Moore is brilliant as Sandy. So good to see her finally getting the recognition she deserves! West End is lucky to have her as a Leading Lady. Her "Hopelessly Devoted To You" is the most amazing thing I've ever heard. She's a STAR ⭐️👏🏽

I saw it a few weeks ago and Peter Andre's American accent is awful. It was so bad it was funny 🤣

It’s so sad that’s Olivia past away but she’s had a very good life
that's it she does need a good life and same for us but we can think about her in our dreams and in our heads as well but we all know she is here for us down in our hearts and that's where she belongs but lets see how the life goes and lets enjoy life together

Backing track and vocals used. Leads are singing live but easy to tell that the backing vocals are not live. Frenchy line ‘love at first sight’ sounds very much like Eloise Davies who wasn’t performing, her understudy doesn’t sound like that.

but the girl in @05:04 i think the producer (or whoever responsible) made a mistake, he gave the girl this song without concerning about her vocal range, he should've lowered the key so she can not stress her vocals and more lives the song rather than making finishing the song and hit the high notes a mission that she should accomplished!
Sandy sings amazing but the other parts are horrible unfortunally

Debbie Gibson, Craig Mclachlan, Shane Richie, Sally Ann Triplett, Richard Calkin, Drew Jaymson, Tamzin Outhwaite, Ben Richards, Glenn Carter, and later Sonia, Samantha Janus (now Womack), Adam Garcia, Steven Serlin, Mike Doyle, and lots more.

this is just my first impression it seems casting was chosen on talent rather then looks of the traditional blonde Sandy & jet black hair Danny Zuko, both of whom sing wonderfully and are great BUT why the heck is there an actor lookin like traditional Danny right next to him and a classic sandy-blonde Sandy over her shoulder!?!
it’s about as odd a directing choice as it is to have the girls ensemble join the Grease Lighting dance.
This cast was chosen on talent, and lot more than that. Gone are the days when actors were chosen by "looks". Everyone is exactly where they should be. This is not the movie, this is the musical. There is no such thing as "Traditional Danny" or "Classic Sandy", because they are not Olivia Newton John or John Travolta. These are Olivia Moore and Dan Patridge. And the story doesn't change because of their hair color. It's still Grease and it's still amazing. They are just other actors that can portray their characters brilliantly.
And the woman over Sandy's shoulder is her understudy, Ellie Kingdon, who I bet is incredibly amazing as Sandy too and not because of her hair colour. 😉

The vast majority of West End shows have people wearing wigs anyway so hair color really doesn’t matter
You might be the first person to ever complain that people were cast because of their talent. Also the girls have been in the Greased Lightning dance for like a really long time now.. It's not the 90s anymore. 😂
@@DudaEfroin I wasn’t complaining about the casting on talent, the remark is about the overtop attempt of two other cast members who resemble Olivia and John
I want story house in Chester to make me my own grease the musical but I need a lady with blonde hair to play as sandy and for me I want to play as Danny Zuko in it and I want some friends are T birds and same for Sandy she wants some friends are pink ladies
"Did she put up a fight?" has to go. Seriously? Do I even have to say it? Are you kidding me? It's disgusting. I don't care if a jerk in the show is saying it. It's being said to make the audience laugh and it is NOT funny. We know better now.
Anyway, I grew up with this. I was 13 when the movie with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John came out, perfect age. I played the record (yes, the vinyl record) over and over and over. So I feel qualified to make an observation: I feel like we're going backwards with musicals. The movie was actually more "real" than this is. They're playing "characters" which is what I used to hate about musicals when I was young: it wasn't real acting to me, it wasn't people having real feelings, it was people SHOWING and INDICATING their feelings instead of feeling them. Things changed with musicals like In the Heights and even Wicked, a show about witches and munchkins, but the actors are REALLY feeling those emotions which makes has made it such a long running hit.
I was grossed out by all the hip thrusting too

Absolutely shocking choreography and the sound engineer must have been absent or had a faulty desk....
Very amateurish overall...disappointing!
Not sure if they were having sound issues but this was bad.
Another performer spoke out last year about how difficult it was with the sound and performing outside so I do believe there were most likely sound issues this year too
@@sazjh the thing is if it’s this bad every year producers will stop saying yes because it’s not great PR for there shows ! Every year at least some of them have awful sound !
@@alicetowle3208 the thing is, west end live has had troubles with sound since they started in 2010 (I think) and so far it’s only gotten more popular. However I see what you mean and it must also be hard for the actors

Pitchy voices and the leading man’s voice is not strong enough for a musical.
