I just found your channel a few days ago, looking for a video to show me what all Land Between the Lakes had to offer. I've watched most of your videos and I'd like to say thank you. Your videos are great and I appreciate that you share the locations of the places you go to, which gives people good jumping off points to start their own adventures.
Thanks Steven! That's the goal, share some of the awesome places that we have. Not going to lie, at first I was very skeptical about sharing some of the locations, but after a lot of thought my hope is that if more "good" folks know about them than just maybe that means more people to help keep them clean and open for all of us to enjoy.
Sir I just came across your video while searching for a good canoeing trip for me and my son, great video and I think this will be the spot for us. Thanks
Are you enjoying Sunglass Central? I think I recognized a certain pair of sunglasses ... I paid a lot of DOLLAS for those sun GLASSES! ;) G said number 8 ... You and me ...
I hope you checked the generation schedule before this trip down the Elk. Water levels typically increase 6-8 feet when generation starts and the river can be very dangerous in light water craft or while camping nearby during generation.
We did, but like you know, they don't give you a "future" schedule. When we went, it hadn't rained for weeks and they had been releasing at a consistent rate. There was also no rain expected during out trip!
Use a Floatie backdoor bright orange float to put on all your waterproof cases.
I saw Uncle Wayne and Company ...

About how far down did you guys camp?
It was pretty much halfway between where we started / finished.
No, 12 inch rainbow is not big. Its a perfect eating size. I like to keep anything between 10-14 inches. They fit perfect in the frying pan.
