Neo-colonialism is a term used to describe the economic and political control that developed countries exercise over developing countries, even after the latter gain political independence. It is a form of indirect control where developed countries use economic and political means to maintain their dominance over the economies and political systems of developing countries. @@arindamsaha735 Yeah, because we didn't did reforms as fast as it was required. Just for example- Private companies were not allowed in Space sector till 5years ago. It took us, 30 years more to open the sector for private companies. This was just one example, there are many sectors, which are not open for private players which got open very late. We didn't had Insolvency and Bankruptcy code till very recently (3years ago) We didn't had Inflation Targating regime for Centrak Bank till 2015. We lagged behind China in building up Soft and Hard Infra which resulted in lost productivity. And there are many more such things which were not done. So aisa nahi hai ki 1991 karna galat tha. Wo to karna hi tha, but uske saath saath aur bhi bahut kuch karna tha, Jo bahut late se kiya. I heard professor Taimur for more than 50 hours on UA-cam! A very talented and a classic academician. Nevertheless like any other leftist or communist from any part of the world. His diagnosis of current economic disaster and predictions of hopeless situation in future also if remedial actions aren’t taken , is perfect, wonderful and eye opening for one and all in Pakistan or other developmental societies across the world. Right now the need is to create awareness on these issues beyond political rhetorics and electoral maneuvers. He is right when he says that people should hit the streets in massive numbers without being lead by political entities. Chattar khaana band karnaa hi padega . Best wishes for May Day🎉🎉

The discussion flew over me.. why it's IMFs obligation to follow the rules of the debtor? Is IMF an NGO? NO.. They are creditors and like any other creditors they will require the return with interest. If they don't, they will ask the debtor to fix and churn out the money from wherever they can. The IMF doesn't print money, they also have to answer people who lend money to the IMF. But the professor here only blamed the IMF. But who told Pakistan to go to the IMF? America? India? Israel? Instead of blaming the country and the leaders the professor is more inclined to blame capitalism and IMF. While there are hundreds of successful countries out there who have done and are doing great with capitalism. From Jinnah to the current government everyone looked outside for money instead of being productive.. first loan was 5 billion by Jinnah so what did you guys do with those billions? Why weren't you guys able to pay up that loan instead of borrowing more? Where's the critical discussion? I guess this is why people say that Pakistan is not a poor but highly missmanaged country. All the answers to the problems are outside and speculative.
before you go out blaming the IMF for attaching "criminal conditions" to its loans you need to understand that before this Pakistan has had more than 10 loans without these criminal conditions. What happened to that money? It was sucked up by the rich and powerful of Pakistan. The IMF has no reason to believe that this'll not happen again. Hence the conditions. Try fixing the criminals inside your country before calling the IMF criminal when they've bailed you out of this situation more than 10 times. It's a bit rich to point the finger at the IMF when this situation is Pakistan's own doing.
Chill guys this Shivam khare is not Indian , he is paid it cell agents , just work to create problems between india and pakistan to implement there agenda 👈
The person who came on the podcast had a very flawed reasoning If you just import based on the money you have and create internal push to drive investment , lots of industries will just crumble. Any industry relies on dozens of other industries to create final goods . What is needed is investment on conditions that will bring technology and industries in the country . Even if you bring debt alongside . That is why it is said some debt is good . Wasted 1 hour 😒

Uske baad se dekho, humara growth rate badhne laga.
🙏🏼As an Indian I thank IMF kyu ki IMF ne Indian government ke sar par bandook rakh ke economy ko open karwaya.
Ye nahi karwata to aaj bhi hum wahi 2% growth Wali economy hote.

Yeah, because we didn't did reforms as fast as it was required.
Just for example-
Private companies were not allowed in Space sector till 5years ago.
It took us, 30 years more to open the sector for private companies.
This was just one example, there are many sectors, which are not open for private players which got open very late.
We didn't had Insolvency and Bankruptcy code till very recently (3years ago)
We didn't had Inflation Targating regime for Centrak Bank till 2015.
Aur abhi bhi bahut bottelneck hai jo katna baaki hai, jaise Enforcement of Contract via Judicial Reforms ( kyu ki koi buisness dispute ho jae, aur Court jana pare to saalo lag jaate hai), Burocratic Reforms etc..
Ignorance of this professor when he says "yaha konsa civil war hone wala hai" forgetting the civil war of east pakistan 🇵🇰 🕌 🐫 or present day Bangladesh 🇧🇩. His communist manifesto prescription for Pakistan's 🇵🇰 🕌 🐫present day problem will lead to start of another set of problems. Since all this communist theory is failed miserably because applying all this theory state has to become fascist, brutal just like Russian or China 🇨🇳 which are two biggest symbol of communist regime. Communism is just like Islam 🐫 🕌 without prophet or Muhammad or Allah.
just because 1984 happened doesnt mean indian punjab is forever in riots..

Very informative, but my question is, if a matric pass house wife can made a house budget then why the IMF and WB appointed Finance Minister can make a balance budget. Because the appointed FM is their employee not a public servant. Everyone know this then why it cannot change.
Like the discussion about nuclear country's public on the roads and IMF trembling. Very interesting 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆.

Wow ! Awesome podcasts, 1 hour 22 minutes of gripping talk . Full of logic, agreeable arguments and both the guys matched each other’s energy level .

Your tariff rates are ridiculously low. Check Indian tariffs before blaming WTO or IMF. Kiran zhoot bologe
Simple counter of him saying they r rich coz of colonialism yes,it's true but,how were they able to colonize, coz they had capitalist systems which allowed innovations and inventions lyk steam engine, telescope, mass production of ammunitions, modern guns tanks etc, which gave them d ability to colonise India and other countries!!

But mai inse Capitalism par bilkul bhi agree nahi karta.
Free Market Capitilism is the least imperfect economic system.
Aap log Communist economics se experiment kar ke dekh hi lo ek baar, dir tasalli ho jae ge.
Apne country me Import ban kar do, aur Private buisness ko bhi ban kar do.

One of the best podcast but Naeem should have kept his mouth shut. He was just interrupting having zero knowledge of anything..
Good program, even though if host had put more efforts in R&D it would have been better.
Jab Laakhon salary ho to phir I'm happy in Pakistan to kehna banta hy 😂
I have seen this programe twice as this was awaking very battery. Very good Dr sahib.
Amazing Podcast , full of knowledge💙
before you go out blaming the IMF for attaching "criminal conditions" to its loans you need to understand that before this Pakistan has had more than 10 loans without these criminal conditions.

The person who came on the podcast had a very flawed reasoning
If you just import based on the money you have and create internal push to drive investment , lots of industries will just crumble. Any industry relies on dozens of other industries to create final goods . What is needed is investment on conditions that will bring technology and industries in the country . Even if you bring debt alongside .
That is why it is said some debt is good . Wasted 1 hour 😒
Great
what is the ultimate end of this distorted situation. Are we rapidly approaching a border change scenario.
