ROUGH Start To This GOLD Prospecting Trip! It Ended Up Being A Success Though!

- The main water tank on my Goldfields Camper just fell off! Luckily I was slowing down coming into Dunolly when it fell down and I heard it scraping on the road. I managed to take it off with the help of a friendly local and get it fitted again by the manufacturer the following day, all be it with a few extra issues to deal with now... I still managed a good gold haul👌

Great addition the avantrees mate. Very lucky to drop the tank where you did, especially considering it’s the start of WA gold season
They are so good mate, I rate them. They do create a little interference when down near the coil but it's a small price to pay.
At least you didn't drag it half way across Vic! Nice bits, the speakers looks the goods.
Thanks for the adventure again.
Cheers Andy
True that man, they are very handy. Will be great for summer!
Nice work with the Gold Lee, Sucks about the tank, you should carry some extra ratchet straps, would have worked well for that quick fix 😁🤟
Mate, that's the best idea and I have them in the car🙃. That would have been a way better temporary fix! Cheers fellas.
Well done Lee. Some nice little bits that all add up. Lucky the tank happened where it did. Glad there was no major damage. Take care mate 😁👍
Thanks mate, it was a trip that all the smalls came out to play. But still gold in the jar instead of rubbish so I was happy. Luckily it dropped when it did. It could have been alot worse!
Ace countryside, nice gold, magnificent gum moth! One cheap and nasty bolt = utter let-down, one lesson for a fail-safe if far from recovery, but imagine at speed that fail possibly horrific. Stay safe, Lee, and a cluster of them golden tatties to ya.
It's a beautiful area that for sure🙌. I've never seen one that big it was pretty amazing! Yep it doesn't take much and it could have been really bad a 150kg projectile flying into someone's car potentially. The repair certainly doesn't fill me with confidence that it won't happen again either...
That "Bloody noise"is prospecting
I agree mate👍
Thanks for sharing another great adventure Lee. Glad to see the water tank wasn't a bad omen on the trip. Good to see you got some goldfor your hard work. Keep up the great work and see you on the next one. Cheers mate 👌👌👌👍👍👍👍🤜🤛
Thanks Josip, I was glad to get it sorted nice and quick. I was stoked to get a bit of gold in the jar for thw trip👌. Cheers mate.
All gold is good gold, nice one! Just a tip, wrap your coil cable a bit tighter and tape it leaving a small loop at the coil. Loose leads like that can give off false signals. Love your work.
Cheers Mark, I like to leave it loose as I feel it's a reason why I go through so many coils. But definitely agree about taping the lower end.
@@SavageProspecting I’m running the 12” inch nugget finder on my 5000, brilliant very robust coil.
Nice little bits. 😊They all add up .
They definitely do🍻
Glad that your tank was salvageable otherwise all of that gold would be going towards a new tank!😮

Very lucky mate, someone was looking down on me👌
Another great episode Lee. Glad the trailer issue wasn’t too bad 👍
Cheers🍻. Got it sorted pretty quickly hey👌
Nice.. was wondering about those speakers ..
They are great, they seem good quality. You do get a little but of interference when using the speaker but it isn't much. Well worth it I reckon👌
Nice work mate, another great trip, except for the escaping water tank, but you bought it home with a nice weigh in. Well done, cheers mate
Thanks Pete, yeh it was a definite pain that one.. nice to get a few bits in the jar though🍻
good work on the gold mate. keep an eye on that tank after a while the weight and sloshing of the water splits the welds on the ends and even though they are s/s they don't repair well
Thanks mate, I'll definitely keep an eye on it now after that disaster. Cheers Lee.
Good haul of little bits, nice
Thanks Brendon, I appreciate it mate👌
Hey Lee nice job on the video the six doesn’t like the avantree getting to close to it I have one as well but mainly use the ear buds I find it better than the headphones but that’s just my opinion cheers & keep living the dream
Thanks mate, I agree with the ear buds in it isn't as noisy. I've also tired ground balancing with the coil at head height with the speakers on and it seemed to help out. Cheers Lee.
Great vid. Found a good selection.
Good Job
Thanks so much🍻
Awesome mate, checked my grand duke tank, she’s all solid 👍
Cheers mate, I'm glad to hear she's all solid🍻
Nice work, well done
Thanks man, well done on that slug the other day mate. It was a beauty👌
Made in china assembled in Maryborough mate
It's not how many pieces of gold you find is how many exciting targets good ones little ones but they are never bad ones because gold adds up and at 3000 an ounce every little tiny piece is that closer to 3000 dollars thank you for all your hard work I hope at the end of the day you drink a couple of beers and relax by the campfire and cook a steak see you on the next one
Thanks bro, if I'm finding gold I'm happy big or small it's always exciting when you see yellow instead of rust🙌. Always have a few beers in the arvo out bush🍻
Tanks for the vid dude!!!! Question - What's the best way to clean up my first specie, on iron stone (I think, just like Neil's).?? How much fun are the kinder surprises!!
Too easy Paul, it depends I either give it a light tap with a hammer or soak it in alibrite. I do love a good kinda🍻
i think you should leave some gold in the Aussie dirt to sell,
That's Fucked mate, at least ya got some yella. 🍻👍
🍻
AH CRAP!!! That sucks Lee. Hey it could've been a lot worse I guess. Oh update, got a new detector... Ended up with the Nokta Legend. Will still look for a PI as well (maybe Nokta's new one when it releases) but this is a good stop gap until then and will get me out there.
It could have been so much worse, someone was looking out for me on that one👌. Nice mate hopefully it finds you some goodies. I've never used one so I can't help with settings etc unfortunately but good luck with it🍻
How was the size of that moth? Huge! Damn! Hope that it was friendly?
Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
I've never seen one so big, yeah mate he was just cruising up the tree. Seemed like he'd had a big day lolm
its okay to promote your beer brand, i prefer sour beer like Tiger,
in i dont get a gut ache in Hangover,
just saying from New Zealand, =NRL half time draw,
Could you leave a link where you got the speaker device your wearing?
I just got them from Coiltek in Maryborough. You should be able to get them online they are Avantree Torus.
Are the Avantree's interfering with the detector when you get close to the coil using the scoop?
They do a little bit while on speaker but much better if you use the ear buds. You can also do a tune with them closer to the coil and that seems to stop a little interference as well.
@@SavageProspecting Thank you.
Couldn't see what your scale was set to. was it grams?
And what type of metal detector do you use?
Just grams unfortunately lol. That was the Minelab GPX6000👍
Those aventrees are shit with the sdc, the blue tooth receiver can’t hold a consistent signal, very disappointing but when I get a 6000 I’ll be set!
Cheers
Oh really, that sucks man. Just get the 6 lol.
Minister for finance keeps saying not yet lol
lol, why was that tank aluminum non-slip diamond plate? Were you worried about 'slipping' when you were uh... "walking" on it? It's under your car... Or were you worried about looking cool?
God knows, I bought the camper and that's how it came.
Lee tge campers are not made in Maryborough. They are Chinese mate. Was talking to father in law about tgere packing being steel, and you can buy it off them cheap.
100% mate imported and put together here.
