Changing the alternator and belt on a Ford transit Mk7 2.2 TDI

In this video I do a change of the original alternator and belt on a Mk 7 2009 Ford transit van 2.2 FWD
I do not have the ford belt application tool but I manage to do it anyway.
The whole process should take around an hour and can be done with a standard socket set.
No need to jack the vehicle up but you need to disconnect the battery.
Hope this is of some help to someone.

I don't know the belt cover number as I re used my old one.

Get yourself a stretch belt installation tool mate they’re a tenner and cost less puffing and panting and effort 😂👍🏻

God its a nightmare getting the belts on. Cheap rubbish indeed. Kept jumping off my new alternstor. Frustrating.

You have the power steering belt on the outside, the alternator belt underneath I took off both but It may be possible to just take off the alternator one.

@@Baboonguyvr yes different sizes. Not expensive though eBay can sort you out and tbh you only need a socket set and a screwdriver to get them on again
