Amazing!! Keep it up Yes i think the clamp being tight kept the cap threads and the cylinder glued together Your not going to be rebuilding often hopefully but if you were, welding the 2 dowls on a steel rod would be the tool for it
Ya, originally I was going to take four rods and weld them to a plate, then weld the plate to a long bar, but no need. If I were to do this for other people or a lot on my own, I’d make a real tool.
Quick update.. I got the Moroso kit. It had 4 of the thicker o-rings in it. It doesn't have the thinner 4" OD 0.1370 that go on the end caps. It seems Moroso changed their design to use the same o-ring on the endcaps as the piston. So it's not exactly the same as the Canton Accusump 🙁
My friend happen to have a rebuild kit from Moroso, but I heard they don’t sell them anymore. That’s why I put the sizes in the description. They were nothing special as far as I could tell.
Awesome. I need to do exactly the same thing with mine. Good informative video 👌👌
Glad I could help someone!

Great vid! Moroso still sells the o-ring kit for $20. The part number is 97530.
That’s great information! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video, any chance you have a link to where you got the O rings?
