- Very rare to the channel is a gen 3 hayabusa with a dual tip, dual exhaust that needed some improvements to the tune before it could reach it's full potential.

Chris That was a great little dyno tune master class involving ecu programming and a power commander programming, really enjoyed it!
That pop and bang so awesome
Pops and bangs tune screams I am in my first 5 years of motorcycle ownership
I have one of the 25th anniversary editions. Alienhead 2, sprint filter, and power commander 6. Will be sending you ecu in the winter due to crappy results with the power commander as you were describing. Lot of backroad curvy mountain cruising more than anything.
LOUD they hear me before they see me got King Kong in da trunk
I hope for 2025 they come out with some interesting colors. If they do black again, hope they do matte black.
That paint job on that busa is awesome!
Maybe a 4in 1 makes more HP...but for me, a Hayabusa always looks better with a dual exhaust.
I agree w you 👌
I'd take the weight reduction and HP climb long before worrying about looks.
I agree also. I think I may favorite look is probably two bros. Twin carbon cans.
@ Oh really? Here in Europe there aren't many manufacturers....sadly.
Agreed
Got a gen 2 with dual yoshi's. A base tune on the dyno had it running at 175 hp/111ft-ib. Recently put in short stacks and started auto tuning with woolich/zeitronix wideband. most of the time im using mine for cruising/canyon riding but occasionally hit the strip on it. Wouldnt mind cracking the 180+ hp mark for that. gen 3's its kinda needed but gen 2's can benefit from a slightly larger cam as well. Wish i could pick Chris's brain a bit for getting those extra ponies but his youtube is deffs a help :P
I don't do much top end riding on my busa either but it's good to have in case a GXR tries me. Mostly need that torque to get out of the way of traffic and out on traffic lights
I’m going the same route Chris goes. Whatever to shave a pound and whatever to add a hp.
That 'Busa sounds really sweet to my ears. I like the sophisticated, multi cylinder sound it emits. Very satisfying! Can't wait to see final numbers... Sorry, but the Pops and Bangs is too much. Here in Canada, you would get pulled over and your bike towed for that...
Greetings all from CapeTown south africa🇿🇦 Had a power commander before, and would shorten the life span of the spark plugs as it would send to much fuel. Ran better without the power commander. Love and Appreciate all your work Chris!
that just means your power commander had a shit tune on it.
it would've run even better if you got it tuned properly
@@busabros2480 debatable if you were present.

Thanks again for a great video! On my GSXR 750 K8 the PC3 is connected to the lower injectors. Could be that on a Hayabusa this is different but I just wanted to point that out. I won't argue that you are way better of with a Woolich kit. I think nowaydays everything else what does not write to your ecu is wasted money.
Keep up the good work...
I’m all about performance but also a fan of loud pipes! Don’t they say loud pipes save lives?
HAHAHA You saw mine at MIR..... Ive had mine since March of 22 and love it. They are practically impossible to get anymore. There is a new dual setup for the GEN 3 but its way more than the 2700. Oh and to add to the why its not breathing better it has twin CATS in the pipes at the x-pipe as well on the old and the new version.....
interesting to see that a gen 3 is only making that little. i made 181.8 on a dyno jet with your flash tune, just exhaust and a filter. i track my bike and do occasional spirited street riding i have a video on my channel if you ever want to check out.
Still almost 110 ft/lbs of torque in the mid range, not too shabby
You cant compare what your bike dynos on a certain day and time to another bikes dyno at a different date and time. That's like saying you sell colder ice because it took longer to melt.
@@marlboroman71818 well I was just talking out loud, and you can compare anything, even the man him self was surprised on the low numbers so… thanks for your input. Will take into much consideration before I comment on the next UA-cam video.
Hello from Japan. The shape is different from the Japanese Yoshimura full exhaust. I'm interested in ECU tuning.😂
I like loud when they not riding with me😂. The like of the quadoutlets is best of all imo
1:04 Ayyyyoooo!!!!!! KURUMI!!!!!!!!!!!! LEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BIGGEST DATE A LIVE FAN EVER! RESPECT!!!!!!!!!!!
I really figured it would make more power. My 2017 zx14r with full dual exhaust, flash, and tune makes 205hp and 118tq at the wheel
1441 vs only 1340.
Of course yours makes more
I miss dual sided exhausts on bikes
Homie went back to 2006 for that exhaust. Love the retro look though
The pops and bangs do travel back to the valves and shortens their lives and can lift the valve off the seat.
Interesting exhaust, I'll bet it's heavily baffled inside the canisters.. Chris I recall when Chevrolet rolled out their new Z-28 for 1996 IIRC.. the early version had sharper bodywork, latter rounded.. they were ecstatic over 5 HP gains...Shit, MV Augusta gained +2ish on their new F1000R way back when, which they thought was pretty good. I would think w/o the baffling in the canisters, crummy high heat.. 13-15 rwhp gain... nearly 10 is huge, especially when your rockin 106 ft lbs JHChristmas.. he can awlays hook up a DynoJet quick shifter to the PC, thats' all mine is good for too. They work well, and you can program millsecond fuel/ignition cut out, get that cool 'pop' between shifts...
It doesn’t sound like a $2700 exhaust system. It almost sounds factory. People put on exhaust for two reasons, sound or performance. Since it’s definitely not the sound and you said a four into one provides better performance sounds like the owner wasted a lot of money. 😮
Or weight savings.
You forgot the third and most often cited reason... to get rid of the UGLY stock cans...
Nice video 📹 great information
Yoshi systems are very quiet, sorta Toyota Prius like
Power commander has a limited scope of application in 2024, it's definitely not a replacement for an ECU tune.
Chris,Next try the NX500 if it ever reach US
Always love your vids, can’t believe the big bad Busa only kicks out 175 at the rear wheel.
I had my H2SXSE remapped etc and the original bog standard map was 179, it’s now 222!… It’s now silky smooth with zero flat spots and obviously even more rapid than before but I’ve done two up touring around Italy and Spain with zero issues….👌🏽
Atta boy
Gen3 - I want more hp and torque!
Dual exhaust = more weight. Sounded pretty good with the pops and bangs though
Nah penta carbon, sprint, brocks cams are the perfect combination for this bike.
I wonder why the yoshimura exhaust is discontinued
This is a gen 2 exhaust, I don't know if that would explain the lower hp but would be my best guess
He needs to put those brocks cams in this bike all gen 3s needs his cam set up to get real horsepower
I just ride around and ring it out now and thin I got bazzaz I bet my throttle plates are fucked up😮
Can I send you my ECU in September for my 2021 ninja 400 and you give me the best performance I can get out of the bike?
How will it work to fine tune/dyno tunen abd ecu flash with a powercommander on?
My mech says they just flash the ecu and then do some tweaks on the pcv5. I'm asking cos I'm not sure how it'll work unless you take off the pcv which is more labour.. im looking for more hp and reliability
That’s cool
And my 10yr old 14R putting down 205/120 haha
It's got a racing filter and velocity stack?
Over $3000 for 9hp... nah... I'd rather have a Brock's Pentacarbon.
For 2700 it better sound like fing race bike!
This channel has made me fall in love with the pops and bangs option lol
Nc in da house
I would rather the loud, and obnoxious exhaust, so that drivers can hear me coming. Safety factor!
I am not a bike mechanic guru and most of this tuning stuff is over my head, I just love to ride them.
I like the single exhaust look and sound. (no pops and bangs for me though)
I have yet to be convinced that ECU tuning does not shorten the life of the machines including motorcycles, trucks or cars.
To many failures to count with friends and family across all platforms of tuned vehicles.
Seems my UNALTERD machines work all the time and 80% of the altered machines are always in the shop or collecting dust in the garage.
All that said, I will probably bite the bullet and put an exhaust and tune on my Busa.
Living in Reno Nevada I have not found a shop that for one even has a dyno or is as qualified.
Yes, I can send in my ECU, but I know the best result is to tune it on a dyno.
I know every machine is different and cookie cutter stuff in the end does not fit all.
So, this coming winter you might see me and my 23 Busa make a visit to South Carolina.
tuning things doesnt shorten their life, tuning things beyond their reasonable limits and prioritizing power over longevity by the customer/tuner is what will do that.
Unaltered machines suffer the same risks that altered ones do, just the margins for error is less on something that is pushing more than it was designed to.
It all comes down to how much money are you prepared to spend for your power goal.
Tuning does not shorten life of engine, it actually helps it if done right.
Lower temps, fuel delivery is consistent vs being rich or lean through out the throttle.
There is a couple good tuners in Cali, but do your research first.
I have decided to leave my 2024 Hyabusa completely stock.
congratulations
That’s a lot of weight added, by the looks of the bike with the anime stickers. I know the owner doesn’t race it but just cruises around.
Seems like dude just spent a helluva lot of money to get beat by a stock 'Busa????? 😆 I'd be pissed!
the sound like 2 cylinder😂
Hayabusa 3 should be OEM supercharged
This power numbers are just 🤡 in 2024
Suzuki needs to revamp the busa engine wise
Suzuki just doing that to pass Euro5 spec’s lol.
They know how to make power lol
@@ChrisSauer-oe5ve we in USA, the UN blue helmets have no jurisdiction. Sorry but if I want 900cc power I’d buy an older 900 kawa. I sold my busa because it was hideous
Is it RPMS or RPM?
To quiet for me im a big single loud ass bike guy 💯
Should run header to a split with a 4 inch slip on either side my Honda cbr 1k sounds amazing and throws massive flames a 4 to 2 then dumps right and left behind my foot also helps blow the smoke back further lol
That engine is running weird. Doesn't sound smooth. I've heard several Hayabusas of all three generations make that misfiring sound, like coils were installed in the wrong order.
I don't like the look or sound of that exhaust. I've always liked the look of 2 or 4 single exhausts...
So that’s why they can’t keep up
All those views and not much likes.
My zzr1400 was 192bhp at the wheel, these busas are whack 😂
Not a fan of the exhaust at all
Nice bike though
In other words power commander is a waste of Time.
Correct
That's some ugly exhaust!
personally I'm not a fan of the dual pipes. looks tacky imo
