***** Omg I still tell people this was my favourite game. It was the highlight of all birthday parties at burlington's chuck e cheese ! ( just a short drive for my parents at the time too )
Um it was a Looong time ago but I remember Tempest, Omega Race, Battlezone, and of course Asteroids. (all vector games ) I was always at the big 3d colour Mach 3 sit in a Jet fighter's cockpit-game.
Hey jetuber. As classic games go, I have to give the award to "Space Invaders." Taking away time limits, I'd say "Star Fox" for the SNES is a strong contender.
You got off easy. 15 years ago I was playing a similar game on a Mac computer. I became very proficient and set a goal for myself, what for that game my magic astronomical round number. Probably a million, maybe 100,000, can’t remember. Played it for about a month, pining to see that extra figure added to my score. When I was within 25 points of this milestone I strove for over a month, suddenly the controls stopped working. I had no idea what the problem was. I began frantically pressing keys in the keyboard trying to get some response and regain control of the plane. Then a message flashes across the screen: “YOU ARE DEAD.” No planes firing at me, no antiaircraft. Just “YOU ARE DEAD.” Was pretty brutal!!!
I love to vector lines video games. The one in my town had a blue screen in front of it so it had a beautiful cobalt color. Battle Zone and Tempest were fantastic games also
I got the game up to 1,000000.00 points one time and it rolled over to a zero score..... it killed me. I thought I was going for an all time score and the game boned me with a zero score. Let me know if that happened to anyone else.
This was, quite seriously, my favourite video game ever. I still remember playing it with endless joy at the Chuck E Cheese in Burlington, Ontario.

1 frame per hour. Fanstastic game. I remember playing Red Baron online with CompuServe 🥰😁
Love those graphics.
I was on my way to a high score and this game rolled over back to zero. Never was I more disappointed, but I really loved this game.
Why did you come back to this video after 2 years telling us the same story

Loved this game back in the day... dodging that AA when it got fast and furious was intense...
My heart belongs to "Star Fox" for the SNES.

one of my favourites from the early days
Great post. I remember this at an arcade at Heathrow airport in the early 80s.
I was listed once in some video game magazine as high score. Played endlessly.
What's your high score? Mine is 44k
@@Justinicus24 it’s been so long ago. I can’t remember.
I remember this game on my old PC from the early-mid 2000s.
The 12 year old me thought this was the coolest game ever.
I have this game on computer it's actually pretty good for it's time.
Back in the day, obviously, I set the high score on every one of these I played on. Long time ago.

I call bullshit on your score haha
Idk why but this reminds me of Polybius

“Mom, can we get Star fox?”
“We have Star fox at home, sweetie”
Star fox at home:
I have this for PC.

It's nothing like the original thing of course.
So bad but so good!
