I admire how you pack highly informative advice with explosive humor, that's how you dominate chess UA-cam.
Exactly broo😂😅
Fr just bored of insanely boring guides, chess is not entertaining by itself so why do they make guides boring
'the sandinavian isn''t easy to learn" incredibly simple setup with very little theory, very solid and leads to equal middlegame .... "the sicilian dragon is easy" proceeds to recommend 1000s one of the most sharp, tactical and theoretical openings with black, usually involves complex ideas like exchange sacrifices to match white's terrifying pawn storm king side pawn storms. entertaining yea, but informative, meh.
@@Goatz99 I think the hyper-accelerated Dragon (shown here) is one of the less complicated variations of The Sicilian, the plan is clear whatever White choose. For the Scandinavian, I always thought it's much complex than it appears because it's a somewhat reckless overture and there's danger being too wayward, especially for beginners-intermediate players.
It's also, with all due respect to ChessPage1, one of the reasons I don't like the Caro-Kann because Accelerated Panov attack transposes easily into the Scandinavian and it's not easy for Black.
nice sockpuppet ChessPage. You must be from India or something
I like how the moment he showed the French opening and said “You resign” the video IMMEDIATELY cut to advertisements
me watching on youtube revanced 🗿
The funny part is that the french joke is maintained by the ones who jumped back on their boats while being covered by the french army to go hide on their island in 1940…costing many french lives.
King's Indian, Caro-Kann, sicilian and dutch are 🔛🔝 openings. Actually OP

@@TrustInGlock In this list probably Kings Indian but you can try Caro Kann too but some openings can just fit from your playstyle
Alekhine defense vs e5.. solid opening

as someone who always plays
caro-kann (mostly this)
king's indian
and sicilian,
i see this as a huge w
As a person who has commited more than 1.5k hours in trying to play the grunfeld and has a tournament win rate so negative with this opening it should literally be considered a toxic relationship I find this to be sad but accurate ;*(

As an pirc and kings indian defence player you touched my heart
You a homie
Same. 🎉
yes
Yo bro there so many KID and pirc defence player you guys are my homies
We all are homie
Just wanna say, I love the humor in your videos. I love chess, but I like laughing even more - a lot of chess content is solid but pretty dry. You're my new favorite channel :D The editing and jokes go a long way to make these way more enjoyable than the average chess video.
Your videos are lot of fun to watch. You make chess really feel like a legendary battle, it's great
This is the only channel that's caught my attention and inspired me to tread out of 700+ ranking, thanks whoever you are making these vids😂👌🏽
Glad Im here tk see the inevitable rise of a legendary chess channel
which one are you going to learn and why? (so I know what guides I should make) (also if it‘s not on the tier list)
dutch defense. However, which dutch do u reccomend
latvian bcs it most interesting out of all that i dont know
Hyper accelerated dragon Sicilian
King's indian as a backup and caro kann cuz it's cool, ruy Lopez cuz it's my favorite opening
St. Goofy defense or Bongcloud attack 🤌🏻
Personally the Scandinavian defense is my favorite opening for black, it was the first opening I’ve studied and used it since I was a beginner and now I’m 1350
@@SuperDudu72Then what should we be praying attention to instead?
@@americandissident9062Middlegames and endgames. Magnus can win games with a fucking meme opening
@@clocked0 Yeah, but I'm not him. Shouldn't I at least learn what NOT to do in an opening (Like f3 or g4)?
@@americandissident9062yes, people often have a wrong impression on this. Studying an opening means understanding the ideas of the opening and being able to adapt when an opponent makes a different out of book move and punish them for it.
So yes, play a pricipled opening where you fight for the center and develop, aka doing the same stuff every game by using a small system.
@@samdewilde343 Ok, that’s what I’ve had an issue with. I make my first move, whether it’s black or white, trying to us a specific “opening”, and then the opponent on their second or third move does something that isn’t “book”, and now I’m like “how the heck do I continue this specific opening?” and that feels like the start to my mid-game because my opening is messed up now.
01:46 "You take back and immediately some horse attacks your wife". I immediately subscribed to this channel after this line
Love the videos man, thanks for all the hard work you put into them 👍🏻
I have been wanting a video on King's indian defense. Can't wait for it 🔥
Barnes defence is one of the rare black openings that makes bongclouding as black doable. It deserves more respect.
Why would you ever be looking to play bongcloud?

Holy shit. I'm a beginner 400-500 elo and liked up kings Indian and have just been crushing my last 3 games with it, it almost plays itself after you're set up
be careful when you get passed 1200. the KID is one of the most complicated openings in all of chess and if you don’t know what you’re doing you can get steamrolled. that open definitely does NOT play itself
You make the best chess videos I have ever seen. Ilaughed all the time and still learned a lot.
Thank you for the content you make. I usually don't bother to comment, but your vids have been really helpful for me to start with openings and chess theory
King's indian and or the Pirc is my favorite opening so you touched my heart by putting it in legendary
me too
He touched my spleen
Please make a video about the Albin Countergambit one day. It's by far the most fun and aggressive way to play against the Queen's Gambit, + it's relatively easy.
Loving your stuff! The most engaging chess videos for beginners on UA-cam!
Entertaining and educational as always. I appreciate you! Can't wait for the Kings Indian Video.
God I feel dominant already
The Czech Pirc is a monster against the london system. Consistently gives you a -3.5 after move 8
fr bro, so happy especially most people dont even know whats going on
bro i remember that not long ago i watched your first videos when you had kind of like 11-15k subs ig.your rise has been staggering .keep it up

I am a 1500 elo Grünfeld player. I learned a lot of variations but still when my opponent plays a new move I struggle with it. But also I am obsessed with this defence 😤
You get crushed by Queens gambit isn't it
huh?@@robertpaul8542
@@robertpaul8542no because the grünfeld is d4, Nf6, c4, g6. it’s not the queens gambit
the move order is the most important first thing you should learn in the grunfeld, for instance sometimes you just can't go Qa5 instantly

Congrats on your channel! I can still remember the ig poll whether you should do one or not, glad it worked out! :)
Love your channel man! You're my 2nd favorite chess UA-camr after Lavy. But sometimes I enjoy your videos more!
On the one hand I was of the understanding that the Pirc was meaningfully different from the KID somehow but that's probably only true for people who are actually good at chess
How about Rousseau Gambit?
It's a really good and strong opening against the Italian for black in lower elo
Yeah, and also the Benoni
this is the best and clearest chess channel! thanks!!
This video made me laugh out loud you make learning chess very entertaining!
Hopefully I can use this against the stockfish cheaters on 1200-1300🦁
3 cheaters in this elo ☠️
Once I found out that chess was just people memorizing openings it failed to hold the wonder for me.
The middle game and end games can be exciting, though
I'm trying to learn about chess, but at the same time I'm laughing my head off! Thank you for these informative and fun videos, they are engaging and make learning about the game a treat!
These videos are hilarious. Keep em coming!
What rank is hippo opening as as your pieces are all protected and they can’t even get into your territory or else they will lose material
Pawn storm.
Fun fact: Magnus already played George Defense against Hikaru Nakamura and he won that game
dude ur video is so interesting! Love them!🎉
"This man is a Caro-kann fiend"
O’Neill Gambit is not so bad. In some games, you will win the rook. Since the bishop move, the b-pawn is not protected anymore so the rook can easily be trapped. I will soon make a tutorial about how to win with it.
Try the Alekhine's Defense, O'Neill Gambit. It's ever better!
@@seb612schuth Try the Lila Attack (with O’Neill Gambit), it’s fun to play and gives equal chances to both players.
Caro-Cann is the best!

Me with my maroczy gambit omw to destroy some poor kids who watched the CCD from gothamchess, but didn't watch the fantasy variation:

Can't wait for your next videob
The jokes are fantastic and the info provided is priceless.
37 seconds into the video and I'm already laughing out man subbing 100%
Caro kann is nuts. I knew nothing about it other than c6,d5 and gave it a shot. First game i won a clean knight in 9 moves and checkmated 3 moves later. Next game i encountered a new variation and played differently. Won after 32 moves with 92% accuracy. Its so straight forward and fun to play. it brought me from 900 to 1000.
