I'm a college professor and I use these in my freshman survey of art history course -- it gives the students a really helpful reference for concepts of formal analysis, and I hope supports what they're learning in their studio art foundations courses. It would be fun if you included more older and non-western art alongside the modern and contemporary examples that dominate.
These are OUTSTANDING. You have put these together so well. great script, right length, wonderful examples, great voice talent. I could not possibly do it better.
I cant stress this enough, these videos made my day. you turned something i hated into what it really is, art and the theory behind it. my teachers want us to read unstructured articles and gave us no time to read the whole book. You made it simple to see and understand. thanks a lot im subscribing for sure
Fantastic! Used this with my class and 3minutes is just perfect, dense with great images & clear explanation. Line is underestimated, loved showing my students how varied it CAN be. ;-)
I am so glad I stumbled upon your videos! As a middle school art teacher, these will really make the Elements come to life for my students in a relevant way! Thank you SO MUCH for making/sharing these!

Thanks for the Elements of Art Videos. I've been searching for something new, interesting and relevant that would keep the kid's attention. My old videos are terribly boring and so is everything on the web...."literally" like watching paint dry. I hope to see the rest of the elements and the Principles of Design in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making these videos!
I really love(and have always loved) art and I'm actually pretty good at it naturally. But I want to really take time to learn it and get better at drawing, painting, etc. This really helps me and I hope that if I don't succeed in being what I want to be (a pediatrician) I can at least doing something with these skills😄❤
This series of videos is FANTASTIC! I have always given my High School and Middle School students the Crystal videos on the Elements and Principles and frankly they are boring and the kids cannot relate. The artwork used in these videos is modern, fun, and interesting to the students. There was a lot of "whoa's" and "how cool!" comments from my Middle Schoolers today. PLEASE make a series on the Principles of Design that match this set of videos!
These are really terrific, I like the others struggle to find the right combination of pace, music, relevancy in these videos for kids, and you sir and madams, really hit the jackpot. Thank you from Illinois!
I Have an art/Diy class going on for my younger cousins! I need help explaining the 7 main parts of drawing/painting. These videos are super helpful! Thank you so much!🤗😃I'll show these videos to them!
Thank you for these great videos on the Elements of Art. I have a couple of DVD's, but the kids are not engaged. I'm going to try these this year and, hopefully, they will enjoy them as much as I have.
Thanks man now I understand the meaning of the lines how they work and how you can create them this video was helpful next week I'm might be taking a final in art it depends if I'm examined or not if I'm not then I'll have to take it but thank you
Why don't you have a video for color, value and space. I would love to see if it is as informational and interesting as the other four. My students like the line video. It made them see what I've been teaching to them about. Most of them had that Ah Ha moment. Thank you.
Is anyone else watching this for homework? Or anyone find it weird that this question is in the comments 200 times and no one has acknowledged the others?
These are Art Teachers all over need to use these, is there a list of the artwork used in the videos? I know a most but would like a list to share with students.
