Many social issues start because people don’t understand how money works. If more people understood economics maybe we will see more things happen for everyone.
.Congrats on 2.5k subs you deserve it I think If you talked about various high finance roles, or compare it to each other like: Hedge Funds vs Private Equity, It would be great.
I'm a finance student seeking a career in finance that will help me become a better investor with my personal investments outside of work, which specific careers among finance would be best for this? I was thinking financial advising or wealth management and probably not corporate finance or venture capital? I asked my academic counselor this and he didn't really have an answer for me. I'm not interested in finance for the salaries, but rather for the knowledge I can take from these careers and apply onto my own personal investments! I love your videos btw!
I always argue for learning outside of a career for learning about the best investments for yourself and what to invest in/how to invest. Always take the time to do research on things in your best interest. But as far as a finance career and your question, yeah financial advising/wealth management would give you the most insight on personal investing/family investing. Corp finance and VC not as much. Yes, most academic counselors have surface level knowledge at best on these topics. Thank you for the nice comment!
I’m a new subscriber to your channel , I find your videos about finance to be very helpful. Keep sharing your knowledge please:).do you think language barrier can be an obstacle to not make it in finance fields?
Really depends on the position! If you go into a more technical role (financial engineer, analyst for certain companies outside of high finance) or if you go further with your education and want to work at a university as a professor, than having perfect English won’t matter as much. A role like a financial advisor, or a buy side team member in any area of high finance, your communication skills will be a very large part to your success.
Honestly, public speaking really helped me, it was practical and you have to be confident and know how to speak well to get internships, job offers, perform well in interviews and on the job.
I just found your channel the other day and it's been really great information for me. I am curious what your opinion is on going into finance as a second career. I have recently developed a passion for the subject in the past few years and have been thinking about going back to school. I have realistic goals in mind and I am fine with a more white collar job as long as it is in the field. I don't plan on going into debt doing it, but I will be decidedly middle aged once all is said and done. Just wondering what your take on that scenario might be. Thanks!
@@kailadivine I have a degree in Fine Art (which I really wish I had asked some questions before I did that, haha!) I work in Quality now. It pays the bills, but I have no love for it and there is no real advancement.
I'd like to talk about this in a video (I have had other people ask similar questions in the past) Would you mind emailing me at the email in my bio and letting me know your age, if you have kids, married, and send your resume if you are comfortable doing that?
I feel you should do videos on stocks or your experience with money. Maybe an alternative to Gram idea do some livestreams answering peoples questions see if you get enough views or if you enjoy streaming.
Sounds good. I think the hardest part about a livestream is what time to go live? What time zone are you in? I’m thinking most amount of people would be able to watch after 6pm in whichever time zone they are in
Lucky I live in Atlanta so we are in the same time zone. I feel 6 is good and you are right about the time zone diff that can be a problem. But keep up the great work your videos are good and informative.
Can you please do a video on USF accounting vs finance? Specifically on USF’s program, reputation, starting salaries, networking opportunities, USF Vs other schools, etc etc. USF is a great school but you make it sound like a very low non target finance school. It’s top 5 in Florida .. thanks
1, wish I had done another 1 or 2. I went outside of the career center but I went on a couple of interviews with opportunities that came from the career center.
That's why business degrees are 100 times better than stem degrees lol stem kiddos always cry and say business is useless like WTF? Business/Economics/Finance are the most useful things to study, studying molecules and gravity doesn't help you in life lmao.
I’m currently looking for a job in finance, but I’m not sure which direction I should take. I have my bachelors degree in sociology, 1.5 years experience with a large insurance company and have my LH insurance license, SIE and series 7, but I want to get out of sales. I didnt realize I wanted to get into finance until after college. Which finance job do you think I would be able to get to work my way up from? Love your videos, keep up the good work!

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Keep putting people on the right path to success. 👍
Thank you
As a freshman in college, I really am thankful for your videos girl!

Thanks for being a great subscriber 😁
Can a finance graduate get a Nobel prize in economics by working hard?
As long as they did something valuable and note worthy, I don’t see why not?
Lol, I love how she puts everything together. It's perfect, the wolf of wall street era.
Happy new year Amiga xo 😍🔥

I’ve written it down and see what I create
Can you make more videos regarding personal finance?
Yes I plan to! ☺️
How can I teach myself about finance without going to college?
Books! Podcasts and UA-cam videos are also a good choice. Investopedia the website. Unbiased finance articles.

What was the most important topics that you learned in college, that later you used in work about finance
Pd. Thank you for your videos 👍

As a Florida native (not living there anymore) I’m glad to see such great quality finance videos coming out of Florida 👍🏽
Thank you 😊

Yes that’s true

Ok I put it on my list. USF is a decent school in the grand scheme of things, I’m glad I chose it vs any other school in Florida.
Kaila subscribed! Thanks.
Kaila how many internships did you have? Did you go through USF’s career center go land these finance internships? Thanks.
