When I was buying Barbie's in the nineteen eighties and the nineteen nineties most people kept the doll's in the boxes. The main reason was to preserve the value, but the boxes themselves often were a work of art as much as the dolls. But today, things are different. It is very refreshing to see the beautiful dolls up close and out of the box. Thanks for a great review of the dolls out of the box.🎉

So glad you unboxed these dolls! :) I am a deboxer (with a couple exceptions) but I understand keeping collector dolls like this in the box. I have never seen these Scarlett dolls up close in real life so it's great to see all the details on these incredible 90s dolls! :) Love the Wizard of Oz dolls too! Such wonderful quality back in the day! :)

I love your videos. I have this collection too. I just want to mention to keep your Scarlett green velvet doll out of the light. The green velvet turns to brown even when the doll is in a cabinet with low light. The original movie costume has also turned to brown, so my green turned brown doll is in good company at least. She is still beautiful.

Yes, many thanks for the tip about keeping the green dress out of the sunlight. I never thought of that. I'm glad now I kept mine in the box, but I have had a Madame Alexander doll in blue turn to purple right in the box!!!
I remember going to Toys-r-Us and you were able to see/buy the higher end Barbies there. Now going to Target/Walmart there is only the play line dolls....maybe. (sigh). I had the Scarlett in red and Rhett dolls but had given them away (another sigh). But I do have the Franklin Mint vinyl Scarlett with most of her outfits. Beautiful doll. Nice that after so many years you took them out of the box.
I also remember the higher end Barbies at Toys-r-Us. I understand the regret of selling dolls. I have done this but I'm glad I kept these ones. I also had a Franklin mint Scarlett in her BBQ dress but I sold that one. Thank you so much for watching! Gone With The Wind was a favourite movie of mine. I remember watching it with my Mom as a kid and many times after!
