I went to college in Richmond and left after graduation. Lived in NYC and Chicago. Currently live in the Hampton Roads region on the Peninsula side. I have always hated it here except for the hidden beaches that are a great escape. It sucks here from the people to the traffic. Hoping to come back to Richmond where I have been spending a lot of time and really like it in my middle age. Loved my time in college though. Richmond has always had a place in my heart. The cost of living is very good compared to many other US cities and it is convenient to so many other Northeastern or Southern cities. Also it seems that there are a more educated people in Richmond compared to the Norfolk area.
