Lexus LX470 Mark Levinson Front Speaker Repair - Door Removal Instructions - Tips and Tricks

In this video, I share my experience in repairing the front speakers in my Lexus LX470. The Mark Levinson replacement speakers, 86160-0W270, if purchased new would cost $261.48, each, for a total of about $545. This easy fix cost less than $30, took just a few hours and provided excellent results. I couldn't be happier with the sound! The parts came from www.simplyspeakers.com. The tools required are those found in most homes and the only real thing needed is just a little patience and time.

I replaced the rear subwoofer on my Lexus using the same method. Lexus wanted over $600 to replace it BEFORE installation. The kit was less than $25, plus some time. Already ordered a kit for the door speakers.

Very nice! I wish I could have done that. I think i paid a couple hundred dollars for a used subwoofer and enclosure from ebay because a previous owner had removed the complete assembly, leaving me with nothing to work with.
