It's so good to have you back!! In WV, along the Ohio River, we are just now having a few days of cooler weather, upper 70s tp upper 80s. We had a couple of nice rain storms the latter part of last week. I got a few days off from watering!! I am still canning tomatoes and preserving my peppers. I have limas almost ready to pick. This will be my first attempt at a fall garden. I am excited but also very tired. Your video just gave me the encouragement that I needed. Thanks, neighbor!
Thank you so much! I missed all of you as well. We just don’t have anything to show right now. I am concerned this will be a hard winter here. The leaves are turning fast and squirrels are out earlier than usual. Keep it up! So glad to hear so many of you are doing a first time fall garden!!! ❤️👍
Yay I have just found your channel and have been binge watching your videos. We are in SW Washington state. We moved from southern CA about 9 years ago. We are both early retirees. When 2020 happened we just decided 😂e were go into getting some property and a home and do our own chickens for meat and eggs, and grow much of our own food. Because we are 20+ years older than you are, we don’t want cows or livestock. Just too much work for our older bodies. But we figure we will be able to go in with neighbors on buying a cow a year or something. We both like to cook and have just been simplifying. I will start my garden and chickens next year. Have to build our super sturdy coop before we get any birds. And I want to get my raised beds started and filled over the next 6-9 months. We are excited
How awesome! 👏 congrats on stepping out from the norms and doing your own thing! It sounds like you guys have a tremendous amount accomplished! Thanks so much and welcome! ❤️
I watched that Tucker interview with the Casey and Calley Means, very eye opening! Since that I have watched more interviews with Dr Casey Means, she is very informative and knowledgeable! Yes, if it comes from the ground it’s nourishing and even possibly healing to our bodies! I’m in E TN and planted carrots and golden beets so far for my Fall garden. I’ll also get some lettuces and greens going now that hopefully the 90 degree temps are over. I would love to have cabbages and broccoli but never have much luck, so not sure if I’ll try again. Good to see you back!
Thank you! Missed all of you guys. The interview was really what I had thought all along, but it was so good to hear everything we all had thought confirmed. Glad you’re growing, keep it up!! 👍 ❤️
We’ve Missed You 🥰 It’s good to know that you’ve just been busy !!! This year, I used Comfrey fertilizer in my garden… It has worked wonderfully… Can’t wait to see the updates on the New Home… Until the next one 😉💞🇺🇸
It was 1975 in high school economics I learned that the more money the government prints, the less the dollar is worth. i'm up here in Ct disgusted to be living in a blue state. I stumbled on a gem when I stumbled on you! We have 8 large blueberry bushes, and two big gardens.. Summer has been wet, with our town as well as my own hometown next door having a horrible flood two weeks ago.17" rain in 24 hours
Welcome and thank you! I saw about the floods in Ct! Hope everyone is doing okay! Blueberries are such a good investment. We’ve tremendously enjoyed our bushes, and they grow very quickly here. We’re going to try to propagate off of ours this winter. Keep up the good work! 👍😊
Was wondering about you and great to have you back. Here in Lewisburg, TN the cheapest eggs at Walmart are 3.77 a dozen for large. The so called organic and free range are $5 and $6 a dozen. I buy mine from a farmer at our farmers market and so far only paying $3 a dozen and they taste much better than store bought. Like you here in southern middle TN we are in level 3 for the drought out of level 5. We finally got some rain over the weekend but not nearly enough. Only thing I still have growing are my tomatoes, everything else is finished and I haven't done any fall planting yet but may do some in the next week as the temps are only getting into the mid 80's which is a relief from those upper 90 and 100's we were having.
I’ve been hearing TN has been worse than us in many parts as far as the drought. We’ve been getting short spurts of rain, but usually it does nothing. The ground is so hard, you can’t pick up dirt with your hands. It’s been a rough summer, that’s for sure. Hopefully this week we will all get some rain and cooler temps. Thank you! 😊
Praise the LORD, you are going the real organic, not the government kind. We haven't got rain in over one and a half months, but still getting ripe tomatoes every day. I'm waiting for some rain so i can try cover crops to build up my soil life. I liked to fell out of my chair when I heard you say the word soil. feed the soil and it will feed you.Cow peas in you're fall garden will add nitrogen to you're soil and you can eat the peas. not as good as chicken poop, but every bit helps. GOD is GOOD
@@harmonhomestead7434 Thank you, brighten my whole week. when I hear soil, I thank here is someone who will feed the soil life that GOD made to help us grow strong healthy food. All Glory to GOD, thank you FATHER !
Oh YAY!! I've missed your videos... Glad everything is ok and there's nothing to report, Lol No news is good news 🙂 Can't wait to see the the new property updates. Oh and did something happen that we can't like the video anymore? There's no like button option.
Just wanted you to inow that you are missed! Do you have time for a Standing On The Promises video? My garden is still producing tomatoes, peppers, limas, okra, and beets. This grandma is tired but very thankful. My backyard still looks like a jungle, but every day, I am thankful I still have something green to enjoy. My massive zinnias are still beautiful, but I can't find any new buds. They, too, will be missed. I hope you and your husband are both well.
Regenerative farming for gardens no need for fertilizers, herbicides,or pesticides, and when you get you're soil built up no watering. the main thing is roots in the ground.
