- The Peter Ross is a still water and sea trout fly that has proven to catch for many years. Originally evolved by Peter Ross of Perthshire in the nineteenth century. Peter altered the well established Teal and Red pattern and evolved it into an even more deadly fly.
Stands the test of time... Great rendition!
Thank you James 👍🏻
Well, if that's not a norn irish accent. Great wee video of a very traditional fly. I've been away from tying for about 45 years and I'm glad to see that these haven't changed. Found most of my kit the other day so I think it's time to revive an old passion of mine.
Happy days and happy tying 👍🏻🧵🧵
Finally found a tyer on par with the great Davie Mcphail, you make it look easy, thanks.
Thanks dongil123. Davie is a fantastic tyer
Very nice pattern, great to read about the history of the fly. As always thanks for posting. Bravo Zulu.
Hi Scott, always had problems tying in teal wings but as you showed, if at first your not happy keep going back and try again until you’ve got it right 👍
That’s it Jim 👍🏻
Excellent, thanks for the tutorial, definitely one of my top 5 most used flies in Scotland.
Great fly James 👍🏻
Some of the old originals are hard to beat, they knew what they were doing.
100% David always worth having a few in your box 👍🏻👍🏻
It works on Steelhead too.
