That scene with Jonas Venture mentioning The Butterfly Effect is quite ironic, since a lot of The Venture Bros. chaotic moments have included The Monarch, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, and even Henchman 21. A lot of events wouldn't even have happened without their intervention as well, but one could say that about any of the other characters. Ah well, still noteable. Both generations of Ventures do have a history with butterflies...
I think its quite intentional. Theree was some real brains put to work in teh writing when they knew they werent getting insta-cancelled right out of the box...
So possible spoiler Malcom and doc are the same person Malcom is a rusty clone so all of Rusty’s misery might literally be because of his dad. If he even is a human and not just a Jonas Clone. Cause it’s revealed rusty doesn’t even know his mother either.
@@churrbumlion you’re saying “possible spoiler” so instead of jumping the gun, I wanna ask what’s your source on this? I used to have a similar idea about Rusty being a Jonas clone but I’ve never heard anyone else mention it.
@@TheMaxFusionGaming The movie and the one episode Dean meets an old HELPeR bot that can talk and thinks Dean is Rusty. It's implied the HELPeR thought he was talking to Rusty, as in another clone. At the end of the movie Ben said Malcom was a clone with 2% Baboon or something so he kept his hair. So why wouldn't they both be clones of Jonas? As always it's left ambiguous with the answer leading to that Rusty and the Monarch are both clones of Jonas because lets be honest, Jonas wouldn't be able to hold down one wife.
That whole three way conversation could legit work for nearly every person's reaction in a multiplayer game at some point. your team mates always suck, until they're working with the enemy, then suddenly they're the most competent players you've ever run into. Also that conversation between hank and brock is actually a bit of a little gem. sure, too wordy for a joke show, but it's quite humorous anyway.
Out of all of this the moment between dr. Orpheus the master and his reference to Catherine the Great is still Vision most outlandish. Out of everything else in all of the delete seen so far this is clearly the one that they made the right decision to not show. Other part of me is it very sure that Jon H Benjamin was laughing his head off in between the entire recording and what we got was cobbled together just out of the takes he was not cracking up giggling.
Yeah... and their PR team at CNN. That was just one scandal after another. I think at the time, this was referencing the Weiner scandals and his various dick pics, but like you said, it aged incredibly well!
I always loved Dr. Venture's reaction to that metor. "No time... No time..." I always wait to the last minute and then rush to keep my appointments. Any delay, no matter how fantasitcal will make me late.
My mom died and my dad remarried my ex wife, oh and i got a gay brother now. Love the series for just making such normal conversations out of weird scenarios.
"Normal" does not apply in the kind of maybe real(?) world of Venture. FFS, you have flying guys in the Grand Canyon. Might as well call it an urban legend.
@@wolfmantheimpaler meh I seriously doubt it. I wouldn’t rule it out completely but it feels on the same level as “Billy Quizboy is a Venture” kind of theory. It’s possible, but making everyone secretly related so they have a reason to be involved in the plot is what killed Star Wars (along with corporate greed.) Point is, it just gets a little too contrived. Which, when talking Venture Bros, is really saying something.
I love the scene of Colonel Gentleman nerding out over Voltron, Micronauts, GI Joe, Star Wars and makes me wish for the arc of him and Billy being detectives for Season 8
Y’know I really enjoy these deleted scenes because I can tell that the people at Cartoon Network didn’t want this to be aired or it’s just to weird or gross but I think it’s funny and…well neat I say
When they played that scene of him listing things I honestly hope that it would go on like this did and I'm so happy that they had the same idea but it just had to be cut for time
I'd pay for extended edition episodes that included deleted scenes. They just add to the show, and most of them fit could be kept. I suspect many of them were cut to account for runtime and commercials on a TV Network.
Honestly I agree with Kim, I'm an AroAce and even I think Dr. Byron Orpheus is a hottie magic DILF. Basically one of my Venture Brothers husbandos besides Master Billy Quizboy and Dr. Phineas Phage. Haranguetan is kinda hot for an annoying Scottish villain but he never shuts up with that "strike me" crap and he was a dick to Battle Axe. Edit: And yes I have weird taste, but I've been weird since day 1 of my life, so yeah. And I know Harangutan is not in this deleted scene sequence, but I was on a roll that couldn't stop. 😑 Edit: Colonel Gentleman is basically me, when I write up a list, I basically can't stop but its mainly because OCD sucks. I have a bunch of random lists.
except lincoln was like, a ghostly spectre and 24 seemed real but incorporeal. the prom scene cinched it though; if he'd been real he wouldn't have been subject to 21's misidentification of that actor
It's a reference to the Weekly World News, which was a tabloid famous for having really weird headlines that were usually obviously made up. The Bat Baby part is a reference to one of their most famous stories about a character called the Bat Boy.
So this is random and maybe no one cares But I'm just trying to find ONE clip of Dr.Venture saying You S.O.B But I can't find one ANYWHERE... Can some one help me? Why is there not a compilation of him saying that like? He's like the Morgan Freeman of saying that line Am I the only person who finds that delivery just so perfect?
I freaking knew it. Would've been a funny episode, Triana's friend trying to seduce Dr. Orpheus but as an new villainess doing that whole villainous crush trope. Oh well
I feel spoiled rotten having picked up this series now, with all the episodes and and epilogue available. The one thing I strongly regret is not being there when the good fanart came out, nowadays it’s all centralized in socials and as much as I love Rusty and his family of friends and tormentors I’m not going back to X for them alone
I like how they just wrote, recorded, and fully animated a scene of just an old man listing off toys from the 80s.

Micronauts always stands out to me. Not just cuz it's the first one, but because of the pure history behind the toyline.

There's a hypnotic quality to listening to his lists.
