Another Legendary Artist Gone To The Afterlife..Fly High Mike 🌠
Saw him years ago with Stephen Stills and was blown away. What a voice. What a B3 player. Everything about him was SOUL. Good speed Mr. Finnegan. God Speed....
I have seen a video of a concert with Mike and Stephen Stills, I was looking for it and ran across this masterpiece and I've always been a fan of Bonnie Raitt and Finnigan and Woods they played in Wichita..But this is some Blues that moves the Soul..Flying High & my Wife gets to listen to Music in The Sky 🎸✌
Rest in power, Mike ... I've followed your career as a fan ever since your days on the basketball court back at Troy High.
Wow!! How lucky can you get!!!!! Love to hear all about Mike Then! You should write a book!!!
My old buddy Hutch always rockin' the bass X
Another great musician moves on ahead of us. Soft journey Mr. Mike Finnigan...
He was touring with Bonnie when we saw them in Eugene, Oregon. He Was Awesome. He played with everyone.
I was at this show! Bonnie was amazing but Finnigan brought the house down when he sang this!!
One of THE BEST to ever rock the keys. Make 'em sing up there Mike!
I made a CD with Mike and had the great honor of playing with him and can say without a doubt that it was the greatest musical experience of my career. RIP my friend, the band in heaven just got a lot better.
RIP Mike Finnigan. Bet you're sitting in with Ray about now.
I did not know about Mike and his musical history till a couple of years ago. I knew him in a different part of life and he was still a super cool dude going to miss you sir ❤.
Jimi Hendrix, Dave Mason, C,S,N... Taj Mahal, Bonnie just to name a handful.
One year today on Aug 11 2021, Mike Finnigan moved on to be with God. We love you always.
I first heard Finnegan in Wichita is in 1964 and have been a fan since he churns my soul
That was a funny intro with Mike saying he could not dedicated this song (“I’ve Got News For You”) on Valentines Day (2013) so he dedicates it to Tony Braunagel who is Finns drummer in his other project the Phantom Blues Band. Tony was Bonnie’s long-time drummer in the late-70’s-80’s.
Just saw this band last night in Charleston SC. TOTALLY AMAZING! Worth twice the price of admission.
Michael Finnigan vs Ray Charles. Close call.
No higher compliment.
evan. U R absolutely right, but ya gotta slip gregg allman in there too, his version from searching for simplicity is magic.
Listening in August of 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic. Peace and healing to all that read this.
Used to go to his gigs in Wichita. In my opinion he was the most under rated musician of his time. The Master will be missed by many! He will be TUNING UP that Choir in Heaven!!
add to that ray vs. thing, mike f.- a good son, father, husband and a real gent of
the first water.
Rest n Rock in peace Mike...
He is truly a master of the draw bars with some of the big band licks and chords taken from the original Woody Herman 1942 .
Check out Edgar Winter's 1971 version with Jerry LaCroix on vocal. Interesting TOP type horn break in the middle.
A lifetime of paying dues man thats the only way to get to there level of blues great music from the best of the best
Legends!!❤️ Thank you!!❤️
A fine car always has Finns……….⚡️🙈⚡️
What key is she playing?????😢
a year later, still missing the might Mike
Let’s be careful out there…
I took piano lessons as a little kid until I was 15. Then, I was privileged to take piano from Mike in 1965 at Phil Uhlik Music store in Wichita. I knew music theory….etc….. but Mike opened my eyes to much more “out of the box” knowledge. Forever grateful, Mike! RIP
"Fin " is always onto of his game, but Bonnie (who I love ) got lost??? Does not make sense!
Glad i saw your comment about Bonnie, i thought it was me, that noticed she was definitely in a different place!
RIP Big Man
Speak right to my heart, Mike! Poor Candy and Kids!! Adults but Mike’s kids! If my heart aches, I can’t imagine how Candy must feels, and his whole family! God Bless!!
Bonnie not at her best. All the right notes but not necessarily in the right key! (UK in joke)
EXACTLY!!! I was wondering why she didn't correct herself!
Still missing Mike.
He's the greatest.
Nothing beats Hammond B3 and good musician! He really knew how to play it.
RIP brother Mike
The great Mike Finnigan. Always love to see him when he get out front! A great match with Bonnie Raitt
Rip Mike 🙏
Bonnie, your playing in the wrong key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH FIRST TIME I HEARD BONNIE OUT OF KEY LOL
Not really.
@@philwimer3591 WAY OFF FIRST TIME FOR BONNIE
RIP Mike...
Rest In Peace❤
Bonnie's WORST lead forever! What was the deal?
She was fighting a cold this night and even had to take a "Fisherman's friend" break to damp it down. So I think "the deal" was a combination of the cold - the start of her tour - and hometown crowd nerves. Just a theory.
I thought it was fine.
I was in Long Beach that night. The point being, Bonnie turned the spotlight over to Finn in the middle of HER show…THATS CLASS. Forget about her solo, which was soulful, if not perfect. Two Angels given us their souls…
