I have a 2013 equinox v6 awd. I get 31 to the gallon in the highway. Just pushed over 80k. Still runs like it’s brand new. Transmission is like flowing water. No lag.
@XMG3 - that's great and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I hope you'll come back for future reviews and please share our channel with your friends - Dave
@boobiepuddles, you're better off going with the V6 in terms of reliability. I liked the Equinox ... base models begin in the low to mid 20's so give it a look... but test drive it for at least 30 minutes on a variety of road surfaces and speeds. I'm sorry, I don't remember any issues with blind spots. - Dave
It is actually very peppy for an I4! It is a four banger after all, so yeah there will be some lag. Lets put it this way, it is perfect for driving around town, going on trips, etc. Merging onto the highway isn't too bad either! They say it goes from 0-60 in 7.2 seconds, which is pretty fast in a crossover with a 4 cyl.
Some people say that the Equinox/Terrain aren't up to par with the EPA Fuel Consumption ratings, but the more and more I drive my Terrain with the 2.4L the better mileage I get! When I bought it it had 19K miles on it and I was getting only 17.8 mpg, and now it has 24K miles and is getting 19.4 mpg! I can't wait until 30K miles!
Nearly every one of the Chevy Equinox's you see in Canada and Northern states has rust issues. Wheel wells, rear licence plate panels, rocker panels, the bottom of doors are rusted. Went for a test drive on a new 2017 model with a friend who was considering buying one.The suspension is just really unrefined on the Eqinox.
2020 update. High oil consumption, blown rear main seals due to bad pcv design, oil dilution issues, intake valve coking, and a class action lawsuit against GM.
Dave I swore I would never buy a chevy again. What do think the reliability will be? Do you get use to the blind spots? Is it worth buying in your opinion?
to bad gm messed up not using port injection with direct injection and dropped the bomb with the pcv vavle system which cause these engines to blow the rear main seal and eat oil...
No more big three vehicles for me. They’re junk now. It either bad motors or transmissions on each model. Can be both if ur real lucky. I read reviews and it’s either Honda or Toyota I’ll ever buy from here on.

Lutetia Vollintine Four banger has become the new industry standard for describing inline 4 cylinder engines. Mostly with the American automakers.

Sorry but you can't properly review a GM vehicle with a GM manager breathing down your neck. Nice sales pitch tho
