Depends if you count the pac 12 championship in 2022 against #4 USC. And that was after beating them the same season at home when they were also ranked in the top 15.
Utah also beat Oregon twice in 2021 when they were ranked 4th and 10th respectively. This narrative of Utah not beating top-15 teams since 2018 is completely false. Utah has beat top-15 teams several times in the past 6 years. This was the first Road win against a top-15 team since they beat Stanford on the road in 2018.
Ummmm I don’t think so. If We don’t come up with a marginally effective run game, we will only be in Arlington as a spectator. 4-5 in conference will be a high water mark. We don’t have a good enough qb on campus to overcome this. Neither yesterday could hit wide Open receivers. Best pass catcher for wide open receivers was grounded tire pellets. Utah is good, but they aren’t world class by anyone’s imagination. Any half competent qb makes this a totally different game.
@@goose4284 as a Utah fan I think OSU will be okay. They’ll get it going, it’s still early in the season and Utah’s defense is elite. I don’t think they were expecting Utah to be that good, and underestimated them. It’s not new, Utah has done similar things to multiple heisman QBs with better teams than OSU. Bowman is not bad, look what he has done to average defenses. Even with an “elite” qb I doubt it changes much in this game. And remember Utah didn’t have their starting qb, one of the starting cbs, a star db, and a star d lineman, and played with a true freshman qb that up until this game had played 8 quarters starting in only 1 other game. If we are talking about what could have been Utah was not anywhere close to 100%. OSU did show glimpses of what they are capable of at the end.
