I’ve seen other videos where they don’t put layer of paper on bottom so worms can crawl thru holes. If you have paper on bottom how do they get through?
Hi Bernie, I feel like I'm getting a refresher course after 11 years of Vermiculture. I wonder if you have thought about doing any present day videos? I think your UA-cam subscribers would love seeing more.
So busy right now but will certainly give it some thought as it would be and another opportunity to teach about the Art of Vermiculture! Thank you so much Peggy for the great suggestion.
Hi Steve, Really happy to hear that our videos were able to help you! Keep those worms growing and productive and you will have healthy plants and healthy bodies!
In a previous video you poured water over the bin to rinse the urine off into the bucket. Now you are pouring the urine tea over the top bin of the tower. I thought you didn't want the urine on their skin.
It looks like you are using the worm cafe. I’m looking to start producing worm castings for my garden and wondering which is really better, the the worm composter 360 are the worm cafe?
Thanks for the information! The worm cafe is great, I'm just about to start my second tray, I hope the wriggly customers enjoy having more space!
I love that T-shirt. Thanks for all of the information. I'm getting ready to add the next tray and the info you gave us is right on the money.

This video is the same length and much more informative than the others.

Is it ok to blend in coffee grounds or egg shells with the fruits and veggies? If I’m using the blender to blend it up already?

Thank you very nicely explain ,now I am ready to add 2 tray .

I’m curious as to what purpose the bottom layer of newspaper in the new tray serves.
How do I tell when it's time to add a new tray? I have had the set-up with one tray for 2 months...

Same concept with each bin, they just look different and have some different features that you may prefer
my worm cafe came with a conditioner? is this the same as volcanic dust? I want to purchase something good for my worms in case of grit.
This is really helpful; thank you so much!
Thanks
What is grit you referred to? and where do you buty it?
I want to know what grit is too!
Grit is sand like, as in grains of substance, it's used to help digestion just like you would for a chicken, they both have gizzards.
Egg shells are brilliant for grit, crush them finely and sprinkle it on
I’m going to rinse n dry off the used shells now then put in processor to get the fine powder
Dolomite lime or egg shells
What is grit?
