I found the Black Pearl Anchor to be a really responsive shiny pearl. In fact I took it up to 4K with Motiv 5500 polish. So like you said JR, don't be afraid to do surface adjustments.

I used this ball at the USBC Open S&D. I was playing straighter angles as the S&D pattern had more hold for me. The Red BB was money for me!
