    I love the black and blue illusion ombre! That color combo: Chef's Kiss!! Also, I really appreciate that you struggled a bit with the runny nature of the black, and that you showed us how you dealt with it. As a DIY-er, that insight from a pro is priceless!! I so enjoy your videos. You're friendly, informative and engaging! Much Love!!

    This is sooo cool!
    Also just the biggest thanks for teaching me so much about nails - I used to do my nails all the time but ever since I became a crazy plant lady my nails have been too brittle to grow out. I've always been self conscious about how wide my nails are, but now that you've taught me how to do hybrid gel I can make them longer which makes my nails look way more balanced. I've even brought out my old nail art kits and I'm having so much fun!
    Thanks and lots of love from Sweden!

    Well I love this look and the black and blue actually suit the look!! I do think the black gel polish was too runny and if a creme polish was used or a thicker consistency gel polish, it would have made your life a lot easier. But because you are Suzie (a professional), you stuck with it and made it perfect!! Thanks for sharing another way of doing this look. Much Respect 🌹♥️‼️

    The thing I love about this is from the thumbnail picture I was convinced it was some kind of fantastical magic and it was a water droplet effect and I was excited to see what you would do to make it look like a water drop had landed and then magnified the nail plate. BUT then I watched and was like WOW that's even more fancy and really simple and the effect is awesome 💜

      Ya know that’s a good idea - The only thing that would make it harder is when you use your brush to remove product you’d have to drench it in nail polish remover or acetone and it will then destroy the nail polish underneath. So if you’re going to do it with nail polish it would be best to topcoat a clear in between. Before you add the layer that you’re going to remove and shape in the French design you’d have to topcoat with a clear gel and cure. Then you can remove your nail polish with acetone. But it Hass to be a quick swipe because acetone Dissolves gel

    • @jacquelinebennett
      @jacquelinebennett 2 роки тому

      If you are having a hard time with nail biting (and financially can do so), talk to a local nailtech about doing an acrylic overlay.
      Make sure they use proper products and practice hygienic application and proper removal of product (sanitize files and tools between clients, file and soak products properly from nails).
      An acrylic overlay is a healthy nail safe way to strengthen and elongate your nails, with proper maintenance.
      I was a nail biter and I have soft, thin nails. My nail tech started with tips to give me length and by the time I soaked off for a new set a month later my nails were long enough to forgo the tips and use my natural nails as a base.
      I no longer bite my nails. The fact that they are reinforced deters me from biting them.

    What would be the advantage of using tips over building with gel?

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  Рік тому +1

      The only advantage that tips offer is the nail is already shaped because a person does not have the skills to do so. But if you have the skills to sculpt a nail, with acrylic or gel, I would use that almost every single time over a press on tip. So press on tips were designed for people who do not know how to apply nails skillfully. This is why they’ve become so popular.
      Even though it is a great shortcut, they are not the same Nail. So it’s a huge compromise, selecting a tip over a Sculpt nail. But if you don’t have the skills, it’s better than nothing.

    Hey Susie. I have a matt gel polish. It turns streaky when I use it. I've tried holding the brush at a 45° angle. But it still happens. Got any tips or tricks?

      Try creating this design with non-matte polish, and then topcoating it with a matte top coat

      Ya was not great for this design ( wish I knew that ) but I learned. I hate to slam a product so I thought I would push through and hope that it would add to my blending. But it didn’t it just ran. The reason why I hate to slam a product because maybe their intention for use with something else and I misunderstood. But another viewer just commented and said it might be really good for smoky designs with blooming gel which is a really good idea. So maybe between as well I’ll come up with some cool ideas to work with this product

    Can you make a tutorial on how to do 3D flowers? I love watching your videos and gain so much knowledge from them but 3D flowers have always been a struggle for me so I would love your help!

    You have much more patience than I do I would have chunked that black for another! It’s way too runny and I would call it gray.

    Are the full cover tips that you used in this video plastic or soft gel ?

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  2 роки тому +2

      To my knowledge all Tips are plastic ( different qualities of course ) I believe ‘Gel Tips’ are simply a marketing term. In fact all the products we use in nails is derived and is plastics. I’m not a chemist - I don’t believe gel as we know it is being poured into nail shapes - but the same components to make acrylic and gel are also used to make Tips. But there are many level of qualities to look for

      @@NailCareerEducation oh okay I see thank you for the information I was wondering because I had bought some that claimed that they were soft gel but when they got here you could clearly tell they were super thin plastic so I wondered because as you know some are marketed as soft cover gel tips I'll look into this a bit more thank you 😊

      You must see my video where I apply acrylics on my friend grant, ( to my knowledge ) I was the first pro tech to apply nails for a man on Yt.
