- The speaker discusses their attempt to convert a Muslim colleague to Christianity, but their Christian beliefs could not convince their friend to come to church.
The speaker became frustrated and realized that the two religions were not incompatible, leading them to become intrigued by Islam and explore it in Morocco. They eventually decided to take their shahada and become a Muslim in Casablanca, struggling with the idea of giving up on their Christian faith.
They ultimately finished reading the Quran and took their shahad. The speaker acknowledges that it has been over a decade since this decision and is grateful for their journey.

Atheis do not "believe" in existence of god
We muslim do "believe" there is god which is Allah swt.

You might be surprised but millions have reverted to Islam just by simply challenging the Quran and its teachings over 1400 years..... the light will come in only if you are open minded.... alhumdulillah you are a Muslim.
I have challenged the Quran then... I would have asked the Muslim, why they think Mohammad is better than Jesus when their own Quran mentions Jesus's mother? I mean did she do other than give birth to Jesus? That makes JESUS GREATER THAN MOHAMMAD.
@@joyphillips1821 We don’t have the right to distinguish between God’s prophets/messengers. It is one of the commandments in the Quran.

@@joyphillips1821 brother, we love Jesus peace be upon him too, we love all the prophets, we don't compare the prophets to each other, they literally all went down to preach the same message which is islam, its just that the last prophet was Muhammad which is to preach the message of Islam too literally nothing any different, and from there the last revelation dropped down to him from angel gabbriel (sorry if I spelt the name wrong) but moral of the story we love and believe in all the prophets.
@@joyphillips1821 we muslims love Prophet Isa (a s) and yes there is a chapter in the quran which dedicate solely to Sayeedah Maryam. But Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the last prophet for ummah of this generation. While Prophet Isa had his own people at that time. And who are we to determine and question Allah's will?

Narrated `Aisha:
that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that `Aisha remained with the Prophet (ﷺ) for nine years (i.e. till his death).
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهْىَ بِنْتُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ، وَبَنَى بِهَا وَهْىَ بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ. قَالَ هِشَامٌ وَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ.
AlhamdulilLah! What struck me though, you finished reading 98% of the Quran, left Hollywood and moved to Morocco but still had a pinch of doubt! Allah surely protected and blessed you enormously.
A really thoughtful approach to life in general is when she mentions at 5:17 she says "if my surroundings are going to change who I am, then if I want to change who I am, I should change my surroundings".

This is my favourite verse in the Quran
O believers! Do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission ˹and if invited˺ for a meal, do not ˹come too early and˺ linger until the meal is ready. But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you ˹believers˺ ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah.

wait, if the believers weren’t allowed to marry the prophet’s wives after him, does the same apply to the men now? if a man passes away and he left a wife, they shouldn’t get re-married correct?
genuine question here because if the women are allowed to get remarried then wouldn’t that be a contradiction? wouldn’t that mean allah had different rules for the prophet than the rest of the muslims?

Prophet, We have made lawful for you your wives whom you have given their dowry, slave girls whom God has given to you as gifts, the daughters of your uncles and aunts, both paternal and maternal, who have migrated with you. The believing woman, who has offered herself to the Prophet and whom the Prophet may want to marry, will be specially for him, not for other believers. >

hey!! are you afraid of dying, or afraid of what comes after death? it may help to know why we even die in the first place. the Bible says in Romans 6:23 "the wages of sin is death." The reason WHY we even have to die in the first place is because of sin! And the worst part is, after we die on this earth, we have to stand before God and give an account for even word we ever spoke, every deed done, and every thought we've had, whether good or bad. God will judge everyone according to His law, the Ten Commandments. His law requires not to lie, steal, use His name in vain (ex: saying oh my (insert God's name), or commit adultery (and Jesus says that even looking at someone with lust is adultery in Matthew 5:27-28 (which applies if your a girl too lol) "whoever looks at a woman to lust for her commits adultery with her in his heart")
These are only some of God's ten commandments, and if you've broken them, God sees you as a lying, blaspheming, adulterous, thief. Obviously, if you were to die tonight and stand before God, you'd be guilty. The wage for your sin would be eternal death in Hell, with no escape or end. However.... GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for YOU! Jesus never sinned, so He never had to die, but He died so He could pay the wage of your sins for you! That is why the rest of romans 6:23 says, "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." And God promises that if you repent of your sins and turn to Jesus Christ in faith, He will grant you everlasting life. It is not your works that save you, but the work of Christ on the cross. He died, and rose from the dead, proving that through Him, though we may die on this earth, we will rise afterward to Heaven!
think of it.. who has ever loved you like Christ? Has any friend, family member, or boyfriend/girlfriend ever loved you so much to die for you? And Jesus didn't HAVE to die for you, but He chose to out of love, even though you have sinned so many times against Him. This is exactly why Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
You can die at anytime (no one knows when!) and end up face to face with God, Who will judge you based on His law. Without Christ, you will be guilty and damned for all of eternity in Hell. Why look for love anywhere else when God has so greatly loved you by dying to save you? please think about this, its not religion, but faith in Jesus Christ

There’s wisdom in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH for Muslims to travel with a companion and particularly for women to travel with a mahram when she has one (and a group of women when she does not).

However, the people I interact with do not think muslim's are any different from any other religious people.
