  • In this video, i explain how i upgraded the leaf springs in my 2006 mitsubishi triton / L200. I'm still in the learning stage of modifying cars and making videos haha so subcribe if you want to follow my build and see the channel grow 😄
    The lift kit is from fulcrum suspensions, and it cost me around $1150 supplied. i got 350kg constent load rear leafs and heavy duty front springs to support the bullbar and winch.
    There will be a part 2 on how to do the front suspension, coming soon ‎️‍🔥
    Thanks guys 👌

    • @joshsparkman2060
      @joshsparkman2060  3 роки тому

      Hey mate, no i dont. It's do-able with spring compressors but ive heard its sketcky, especially with HD springs. Your best bet is to take your old strut assembly and your new strut and spring down to any suspension shop. I think they charge me like $40 to do it for me

    FYI. They recommend silicone based grease rather then the moly/lithium grease you use. Silicone grease won't react with the bushes 9ver time.

    • @joshsparkman2060
      @joshsparkman2060  3 роки тому

      I highly recommend not wasting money on spacers and extended shackles. That kit cost me $220 and it was a rubbish stiff ride! It did lift my car up, but geez it was crap. This fulcrum full 2 inch lift kit cost $1150. I recommend getting the proper kit mate

    • @JSC-c
      @JSC-c 3 роки тому

      Josh Sparkman thanks for the reply, iv had the spacers and shackles for a while but been up and down on weather to put them in for the time being and getting a proper kit later on, would they be ok just for daily road driving as I don’t go off road much if any at all, or would you still not recommend it?

    • @joshsparkman2060
      @joshsparkman2060  3 роки тому

      For day to day use on road, yeah its fine. Even as a tradie, it'll be fine i recon. I had it for 1 year and im a chippy. Just really really stiff when i loaded up alot of weight. And expect your leaf springs to be flat. But yeah should be fine mate

    • @JSC-c

      Josh Sparkman no worries, thanks for the input, did you have the 32mm spacers on the front or 25mm, also iv read some tritons get tailshaft vibrations did you get this at all with the mig extended shackles
