It’s something about the tone of their guitars that is infectious. Another great track for another great album!
Yeah I agree, sounds "inflammated" or "infected" for sure. That has always been a signature staple of their sound even in the early days. I think that partly stems from an abundant use of flat fives in chords which sound broken and somewhat alien.

Have loved Pestilence since day 1 and that's not gonna change. Saw them perform in Montreal back in the 80's with Death. Glorious.

@@whahappend8222 this is not being defensive at all. I just stating facts. And the fact I'm replying only means that I care what others think. Analyzing this riff just from a musical aspect, it has no resemblance at all. That is my opinion and so if someone says something about it I reply. I do not think I'm better than anyone else but if someone is stating something based on their feelings, I'm allowed to react. Most bands wouldn't even care. So please disect this riff to me and show me what notes resemble. Backwards riff doesn't cut it. And yes the rest of the comment was nice.
@@patriziomameli9812 when you say most bands wouldn't care that's actually a compliment to those bands, not the knock you think it is. Most musicians don't go out of their way to micromanage the opinions of any fan they disagree with, right or wrong.
Someone said it reminded them of something else, in a good way. Doesn't mean you copied anything, doesn't mean you're unoriginal. I can tell you this, I would be honoured if someone said my music had Pestilence or Morbid Angel vibes.

New album is almost out so go ahead and buy it people. I certainly will... after I receive my financial injection!! Best song off the album so far. 🔥 best lyrics, best (mesmerising) solos, best video! I thought Deificvs was top but this is - pinnacle of bedlam (no pun intended Suffocation). I grew fond of Pestilence because they are the first metal band I saw live...and also the last. I heard about them before and probably listened a song here and there however I never really got into them due to the fact there are a LOT of good bands out there to listen to. However when I prepared for the upcoming concert on which I was invited by a friend I started to carefully dissect both "Hadeon" and "Consvming Impvlse" and I got familiar with bands history and stuff. I enjoyed both albums! At the time I thought they would promote "Hadeon" on their concert However in the end they played most of the songs from "Consuming Impvlse ". I was in a front row Central spot. People next to me were headbanging all the time while I just stood there and observed/experienced the show! Yeah I stood out even among the metalheads. I also had a chat before the concert with their drummer at a time... Great, humble, down to earth guy. So yeah overall great experience even though I do not like crowded space I managed to survive the concert 😀 guys from Pestilence please do keep making music 💪Even though you achieved a lot already I really believe there is an even brighter future for you guys!! Much love!

@@prodsunss I will never get over my disappointment when they released that album in 93, I was expecting a follow up to Testimony but instead they released Spheres.. Back in 1993 when bands like Morbid Angel, Deicide, Suffocation etc were releasing classic Death Metal albums Pestilence released Spheres.! Don't get me wrong I am all for a band trying new things but back then Spheres was just too much of a massive change in direction and I hated it.! But I'm (much much) older now and I do actually appreciate Spheres now and I appreciate what they tried to do back then.. But I'm very glad they went back to their classic DM style.
