Cars 2 is an actually good movie that has effort and ideas put into it. Despite what some believe, it was a movie Pixar genuinely wanted to make, and I massively respect them for trying something different.
0:09- HEY, THIS ISN'T PIXAR! 1:24- The important thing is show the character's mouths moving as little as possible, and animation is expensive. And since it's dubbed into English, oh ho, you best believe it syncs up greatly. 1:40- Oh, that Lugnut. He sure is a real shit for brains. 2:03- The Little Cars series is THE place to go when you want a hard hitting film series about race relations. 3:04- Never thought I'd see a car animated with dick-sucking lips. 4:26- The dialogue here is weird. It's like the voice actors have to pause and think about whether or not they like another character, and then it just seems like they have a car stroke. 5:21- Ho-oh. Pixar's Cars maybe made by someone who likes cars, but LITTLE Cars is made by someone who wants to fuck them. 6:03- Better hit the breaks on THIS scene! The direction sure is on Cruz control! The animation brings the tone to a grinding halt! Stick shift! Clutch! Trunk space! 7:27- Excuse me, I've driven on the ice on the Alaska level on Crus'n Exotica, AND IT AIN'T EASY! 9:53- He's telling you that you have nice tits, which is weird, 'cause you're a car! 10:25- HE SAID HE'S A PAIN IN THE ASS! 11:34- Oh right, he can't pick up a piece of paper, which is probably why that looked like shit. 12:24- No need to take that line again. You said it perfectly, with no...awkward pauses or anything. 15:54- Oh, I guess his business is failing. That's why I'm watching this movie. THAT'S RACIST! ...Except, yeah, that is Cruz. 30:02- THAT CAR JUST CAM ON THE OTHER CAR! 30:29- Then you should have named yourself "Champion"... like Champion. 31:02- He's the headlight at the end of the tunnel! He's got all green lights with no need for stopping! And he's going bumper to bumper with victory! Windshield wipers! Car batteries! Mufflers! 31:22- Hear that, kids? The original Cars was my favorite movie when I was younger and I remember I found this on UA-cam one day as a kid and always laughed at how obvious of a Cars ripoff it was but still enjoyed it.
they showed us this during an elementary school assembly. i distinctly remembered the eyesore characters but i was so bored of this movie even as a child that i never knew the “plot”
Hm. Great movie. The smooth animation and the complex, yet nicely formatted storylines both mesh together perfectly when it is complimented with such an amazing roster of characters. I really love how Cruise's story of wanting to get the girl of his life, and his wishes of being a race car mixed with the story of a shipping company that is nearing bankruptcy. So yeah. Stunning visuals, great character developments, and enjoyable story. My only nitpick is when the Champ offered Cruise to race with him, just for fun and Cruise declined his offer. I feel that this breaks his character for a bit, but again, nitpicking. 9.5/10. .5 taken away from the breaking of character scene with Cruise.

I watched this as like a 6 year old and liked it. Man, animation has changed so much.
Why did I even get this movie when I was a child? And it's quite eerie that I'm watching this again after a whole bunch of years of forgetting this considered movie, and also the animation makes me uncomfortable.
