I found the ten pound challenge fun! But I love shopping!! I always enjoy when you visit various stores.
I remember years ago going into Selfridges and a lady on the make up counter asked if I’d like a free make over. I refused telling her that I couldn’t afford their products. She smiled and said go on , no pressure to buy anything. I said ok. Not only did she give me a lovely make over. Subtle and elegant but she gave me a Chanel carrier bag with loads of samples, eye shadows, lipsticks and half a dozen perfume samples. Made my day.
If it helps, I finally figured out the pounds/quids thing when someone pointed out that it is similar to Americans saying dollars and bucks. Two different words for the same thing. 💷💵😊

This is to me what a store like Suffridges is about it is not only buying luxury goods but the experience and that is what you are proving Hannah…you don’t need to be a billionaire to have fun and experience the joys that a store like suffridges can bring…it’s the experience the moments the joy of finding something with others thank you Hannah
Honestly, giving yourself a budget of 10 to 50 pounds and going into a store to pick whatever catches your eye that fits into that budget can be lots of fun nowadays (with the crazy prices). It lessens the pressure of wondering if you're going to be able to afford whatever you like!
I live in America and I love how proper British you sound. It makes me giggle every time you upload.

I worked in Selfriges for my first job. I never bought a thing…couldn’t afford it!! But I still have fond memories. Thanks, Hannah, that was a lot of fun!
Don't pay any attention to the negative nancies, Hannah! I think this is a really fun and harmless challenge, in fact I do this with Harrods, Selfridges etc. online too. It's just interesting seeing what a certain amount of money can get you. I find that for a 20 pounds you can get pretty decent things (at least online). And I love your commentary so much, you manage a great balance of admiring things and taking the piss off where it's due (I feel like most of us would go "I could make that!" at that weird bag, lol).

Between Harrod’s and Selfridge’s, which is your favourite? I did go to Harrod’s, since I was staying in the Earl’s Court area and of course they didn’t have the item I wanted in my size…
I told you before that I enjoy your choice of music as it fits the mood and atmosphere of what you are showing me. There are items I would never have looked twice at. Cookies? Okay. Sushi is also something I would not have considered. Plus, I think you trimmed your hair? Nice!

That was FUN!!! More of that please! And for hair...Virtue is a great product for dry or color treated hair. Less is more. I have thick hair and I use a half penny amount.

I would have bought the shortbread tin with Charles on as a joke birthday gift for a dear old friend who is anti royalist. He's used to me buying him commemorative cups and plates, hates them, is amused by them, and they are not wasted. His artist daughter sweeps them up. She loves them and uses them.

Love going into high end department stores and just looking round then having a bite to eat. You don't have to spend a ton of money to have a relaxing day.

Great video! We took our grandkids to England for Christmas and they each had 100 quid. Funny thing was both girls had spent time on website and made a game plan. They spent 10.00 quid at each store. I was truly impressed considering they are stores that you regularly vlog.

This was a charming and clever premise. Well done you. When I was just a kid my grandmother would always give my sister and I an envelope of “pocket money.” Gifted at the start of a vacation the envelope often consisted of a ten, five, and five ones. That’s USD. Oh, the ache of that small fortune. I learned early on if I saw something I really wanted I bought it. My sister was far more calculating and would guard her $20 until the last possible moment. Great video! 👍

Hannah love London I stayed in their YMCA in 1983.....For😢 people from South Africa its super expensive! It's the accommodation that's so expensive! I worked for the

You are totally cool, Hannah. It is the designers who are not. I agree that the mesh shoes with straps and the crazy Givenchy boots are ugly. I think the designers are probably laughing at us, knowing people will buy anything if it is trendy (like the stupid Stanley cups which I do not get at all -it's a giant cup, people, come on!) Hi Hannah, you ( and anyone else) will need to try the original Tim Tams! They are the best ones in my opinion. As they were 4.50 in pounds converted to Australian dollar is around $8.50 Australian. They are on sale this week- so converted for you would make them 1.31 pounds a packet. The "regular" price would be 2.63 pounds. And for any US people - that is $1.65 US per packet. With love from Australia

I love the 10 pound challenge…what fun…and you’re right, the experience is part of the challenge….I love going into the swanky shops and seeing what items cost in the UK….A different experience could be the Piccadilly Circus stalls that would be an interesting challenge.

Hannah, I'm such a UK nut that I've been trying to pick up slang and other words. I call our $5 bills "fivers", I say chuffed, sometimes dead chuffed!, I'm using the word sorted (hopefully correctly) and I've incorporated reckon into my diction. Pretentious? Maybe, but it's fun! Also, on another video you said you had plans to come to California. I left a link on that video to the California Tourist Board but it didn't post. Maybe that's YT's rules? But do go on there as I'm sure you'll learn a lot. We have 840 miles of gorgeious coastlline, great museums, and so much more, it's a bit overwhelming. if you get into my neck of the woods (Huntington Beach) I swear I'll treat you to lunch at my fave Mexican place that's been around since 1966. About driving: I wouldn't recommend it, it even make ME nervous! But sadly our public transportation doesn't hold a candle to yours. Still, Amtrack may be the way to go, combined perhaps with Uber? Anyhow, whenever you come or wherever you go, have a jolly mooch around and have fun!
