Great job in the face of devastation….
No one can begin to imagine the destruction unless you’ve went thru one and seen it.
Will follow your channel
Nice reporting .
I was born in Fontanelle and lived in Creston growing up. It is hard to believe more people were not killed. People in Greenfield are not wealthy so it is hard to say how they will recover. Pay on a mortgage for a house that is gone! Foundations gone so you cannot even rebuild on it. I have a cousin Becky who I hope was not in the damaged area cause I have been retired in NM and have not kept in touch. I just feel so sorry for all those in Greenfield.
@@user-ni6vr2sp8x I really appreciate that, thank you
@@Catchmyvib2 Thank you so much
Situations like this is why you should never be cold-hearted or mock others in their calamities. Today it might be me, but tomorrow it might be you. 🤕🤕🤕
Exactly
So true. I have a sister and family in Greenfield, IN. I recognize how easily it could’ve been us in the devastation and my heart goes out to Iowa. Tears fall down and I send ❤️ love and prayers.🙏🙏
May every one be ever so kind and helpful to People and property of Greenfield, IA
You Hated our guts and lied intentionally about other Americans for 37 years.
Now you want to make up ?
FU
I would never mock anyone who loses everything! I feel for them and will help by donating money to their local township!
@paulespinoza1994 they hate your guts. They hate 60% of other Americans guts, since Noon Eastern time on January 20, 2009.
Listen to Mallory McMorrow's 4:43 minute speech from April 19, 2022.
How did the USA ever get to the point, where Mallory McMorrow's speech was necessary ?
The answer is Hate !
Wow. Can’t believe they survived that with the basement looking that way!!!! How scary. Iowa has had a rough tornado season thus far.
I had to double check like three times with her because I couldn’t believe it either. Really incredible how they escaped with barely a scratch.
@@JonathanPetramala im just as dumbfounded. guess god answered her wordless prayer
@@steelthfighter He knows people's *Hearts!
@@JonathanPetramala it's by the Grace of God.
@@deirdrepasko9056It's by the destruction of your god. How can you get it so wrong?
I'm in Oklahoma and saw your video in Barnsdall. You came upon a family who were on their porch and the ramp leading to the house was damaged and they couldn't get a quadriplegic family member out. You gathered up several people and got them to safety. I was taken aback by your kindness and your way of making them feel less helpless. I could see how relieved they were to know they were going towards safety. You were so respectful of their privacy by not showing their faces only if they wanted you too. You did a wonderful job. Now days the norm is a reporter who sticks a mic. in peoples faces when they are in shock and disbelief of what they just survived. They were glad to see you!
I appreciate you sharing and the kind words…I genuinely want people to be ok and to help if I can. One of the most important ways I believe is to show and share stories so more help comes quickly and more people can relate to and understand what happened
Thank you for interviewing these folks. It humanizes these tragedies instead of people just viewing the destruction.
Thank you, I believe the same way and it is important to help relate and hopefully have empathy
Man I could not even begin to imagine the fear and anxiety one would go through being in the pathway of a strong tornados then losing almost everything one owns. Dear God please wrap these families in your loving arms and help them during their recovery process. Grant them as much grace and support to get through this very traumatic weather event. Amen
thank you
My deepest condolences to all those affected by this season's craziness.
It’s been a bad year

I was caught in a real bad derracho about 10 years ago worst storm I've ever been in. Lived in a mobile home back then thought i was a goner. That day changed my whole outlook on storms an watches an warnings. I now live in a house with a full under ground basement i keep a bike helmet and safety glasses down there some water and peanut butter incase you would ever be trapped etc. Keep a solid plan and be able to access it in seconds if you have to. If you are ever caught in a violent storm it changes your outlook on these storms. So sad
That is great to hear, it’s so important to have that plan and respect the weather
Thats a very smart move in your part.
I can't tell you how happy I am that the young woman and those children survived. 🙏
She said that was the first time in her life that she had ever Prayed. She said she only had time to say "Dear Lord" .... I believe that was enough. She is alive to tell her story. "THAT WAS ENOUGH"
All I do is cry, watch, and pray. Seeing the devastation of Greenfield seeing the faces in shock, my heart and prayers are with you all
🙏
😂😢😅
I bet that woman starts watching the weather now. I'm grateful she survived.
I definitely think she will
Probably one of the best produced pieces I have ever seen on Tornado aftermath. 👏
Very kind of you, unfortunately there have been a few towns this year that have suffered like this that I have been in, like Sulfur and Barnsdall, OK…each equally horrible
Dear Lord, I am lying in my bed, very warm and cozy, watching the news and the terrible weather and what people are going through! I can only do one thing now and pray to God Almighty. Lord please give every person a clear sign of Your love. Give the people the strength to go forward, there is so much loss and damage, it is very sad to watch this and to see their faces and tears. With love from Cape Town SA.
I sure appreciate your message. I am in sane position as you. 🙏👍🌻‼️
So sad. Prayers for all the hurting and displaced families.
Like that will do anything.
It's very weird. I've watched and studied plenty of tornados but the videos are always after the fact. Yesterday I was watching multiple Livestreams and watching radar and it's just such an awful feeling to see the tornado form and track live as it is happening. Idk may just be me, but you just have such a sense of powerlessness. Pray that all those affected by this tornado can rebuild.
It is a sense of awe too to witness this power and simultaneously a pit in your stomach because you know innocent people are in its path.
68 years old from Chgo. That was biggest I’ve ever seen. The arial shot of the swath through town. To know all victims in match stick rubble have not yet been found.
@@ellenritt7667 It was a vicious tornado, very violent
What truly baffles me is, mankind has come up with all kinds of things to better our lives with, from medical technology, electric vehicles, to A.I., but haven't figured out How to stop a tornado from touching down or even forming to begin with.
@@deirdrepasko9056 Definitely agree. I feel we could at least make sure all homes in the most vulnerable places on tornado alley have storm shelters. Ridiculous that our elected officials haven't done this yet. Not trying to make this a political issue, but just feel more can be done to protect people from these disasters. At least have a program in place for people to help pay for the shelters or something.
I watched this tornado live from Ryan Halls live stream I knew it was bad when the huge debris ball showed up on the radar. Glad most ppl got out with their lives.
My heart and prayers go out to the people of Greenfield and their families, friends and community.
I just sent this to about 40 people and please all of you share so we can get this channel recognized.
Very kind, it would help
I hope people are giving God praises of gratitude because only by His grace and mercy they live. It’s a grand miracle.
Why? He makes the tornados, doesn't he?
What about those that didn't survive? Did they not pray hard enough?
Nope he doesn't. If you really want to know these are man made tornadoes. Gotta push the climate crisis.
When it's your time, it's your time.
@@87mini no. We live in a fallen world because of original sin. I read and believe the Bible 100%. Things will continue to get worse according to the Bible. Only Jesus offers truth and hope.
Praying for restoration and healing for Iowa in Jesus name. God bless and keep you all. ❤😭🙏
We seriously need to encourage states to fund the construction of tornado shelters throughout communities that we know they are prone too. This is just so heartbreaking to watch and it feels like it will only get worse over time. Prayers to those families and thank you Jonathan for the heartfelt depiction
Yes for sure , especially since these tornados are hitting all states and cities now not just certain ones like before. our government needs to fund and built shelters
I agree, it would be a worthwhile investment in our own people and communities. Thank you for sharing!
YES UNDER GROUND SHELTERS ARE VERY MUCH NEEDED ‼️
I agree, *Especially in poor neighborhoods!!!!!
Yes qplease we have no where in our town
Please keep praying young Lady! It was by the Grace of God that you and your baby are still alive!
Wouldn't say this if it weren't for the finger-waggy 'young lady!' thing.
Grace of God doesn't extend to everyone, does it? How do you think a relative of one of the casualties would feel reading that?
It was because of her husband’s cousin she is alive. She dosent pay heed to weather statements and her husband even sid she probably wouldnt have even gone on the basement!….? Whats up with that? Willful ignorance….?🙄
How many ppl pray to God at the Twin Towers ?

God showed mercy in the midst of the storm! Pure & simple reason how so many survived!
Be thankful & bless His Holy Name!

I'm so happy that the young lady's family came and brought her to safety (as much as possible anyway) but scary to think that she wasn't already watching the radar with all of the warnings. I get that the news is depressing, but if he hadn't come to get her she might not have realized she need to take cover until it was on her. I hope she'll get an app and be alert if there is another storm in the future.
Watching the hubby get emotional made me wonder how could one ever thank someone for running out into a tornado and pulling their wife and baby to safety. No words, money, gifts or favors could ever come close. I'm sure there are many other stories, perhaps even among strangers where people stepped up and helped. Ironic that a horrible tragedy can restore a little faith in humanity.
I hope it brings them all even closer…wish I could have met him.
Prayers for everyone!!🙏🙏🙏
Can I have a cookie instead? At least I can eat that.
Drone footage makes all the difference! The path really stands out.
It really gives perspective for sure

That line of devastation through the town gave me chills. What a terrifying sight! Hope Shae and her family, along with the rest of her neighbors, area able to recover. I put some money in the GoFundMe to help out. Hope others will too, but don't forget other local charities who can get assistance in quickly and where it's needed.
Thank you, I know it will go directly to Shae and her young family
May The Most High God bless our brothers and sisters
Thank you, Jonathan. This has been such an ugly year for tornadoes. Every week over the last couple of months, there seems to be another damaging tornado (or more). Luckily the death toll has been relatively low because people are paying attention, and heeding warnings.
Yes unfortunately not everyone was able to escape yesterday…multiple fatalities here…it was tough to see
@@JonathanPetramala Yeah, I did not intend to seem like I was minimalizing any fatalities. One death is one too many. Especially for the friends, family, loved ones and community that person was a part of. From reports of Greenfield I've seen so far, it was an "everybody knows everybody" kind of community, and that makes any death very hard for everyone there. My condolences to all of them.
@@amydavis4945 not at all, I appreciate you and your empathy
God bless all of them. May healing and recovery come to all who were effected.
when she says - everything is destroyed - that wasnt hyperbole - EVERYTHING was destroyed.
It really was, that path was clear destruction
Vanished. It's going around.
I know it's a little late now, but I wish everyone, especially people with babies and small children like that woman, would pay closer attention to watches and warnings (especially on high-risk days). We should never assume that it can't happen to us because it obviously happens to lots of people every year, all over the country. Whenever I hear about the potential for severe weather I make sure my phone, backup battery, headlamp and flashlight are charged, I have my identification and medications with me, and that I have decent shoes on. It also wouldn't hurt to have a helmet, bottled water, and some other supplies. We're lucky to have as much advanced warning as we do now, so we should take advantage of it. Ryan Hall, Y'all is a great channel to watch for sure
It’s a great reminder for us all to always have a plan for ourselves and families to react to weather impacts. Not only tornadoes but also wildfires, hurricanes, ect
Praying for all of the families!
Ypur on the ground coverage through these vicious tornados has been phenomenal.Prayers for these families who are enduring these tragedies and prayers for your strength because i know hearing these stories firsthand has to take its toll on you.
I really appreciate your kindness, it’s nothing compared to what the folks I meet are going through and they are generous enough to share time with me so I hope it helps them.
The young woman with the baby. The debris still stuck to her nose. Serious lesson. When buying home in Iowa, never skip a basement.
Thankfully they had that basement and a friend and neighbor who was brave enough to get them in
Or storm cellar which I think are safer than basements I live in Iowa but more than 3 hour away from greenfield
Good report. Best wishes to all those affected and hopes for a quick recovery.
Much appreciated

Thank you for this video. Shows the randomness and the terror of the victims. People in CA have no idea but now I can share this
California definitely has its own crazy weather and even at one point this year had more tornadoes than any other state, but it is good to share and show so we can hopefully have more empathy with other people, tornadoes in the Midwest, hurricanes in the south, fires and earthquakes out west

Agree
In 2005, i was up in my bedroom oblivious, with a new baby, while my other children played outside. I had no internet, no weather radio, i was totally disconnected. A tornado went over my ridge and i only knew something was going on because suddenly the power was out and there were an unusual ammount of cars going by my home. Reason was the town a mile away got hit real bad by the Tornado and the roads were blocked!
I was so upset. We had no basement and the thought if what i would have done if it had come my way haunted me.
The next day i went to radio shack and bought a weather radio. A year later we moved to a house with a basement. That basement gives me such peace of mind in storms!
Thanks for these videos. I love to see people being good humans, and this video showcases the best of humanity at the worst of times❤❤
I am so glad you have that now!
Oh my. I’m just passing on both good thought and sympathies to these folks.
There should be law or mandatory that every house has some sort of tornado shelter. Especially where tornadoes are prone to happen.
I think as a nation we could do more to provide infrastructure that could be a safe refuge for communities and travelers
thank you and God bless to the folks!
Same to you!
