I have so much respect for you for being able to see how past behavior was problematic. We have all done it, no one is perfect. Being able to recognize it shows a lot of growth.
As soon as I saw the last one, the insane asylum girl, I actually thought you were going for the girl in The Sixth Sense. It looks just like her.
It’s interesting how people rate themselves! I feel like if I were rating these the chart would completely be upside down
True but that's because she's judging the start to finish process whereas we can only judge the end product. I also think the time is important too, I think the quality of SFX make up tutorials has increased exponentially in the past few years so her SFX may be viewed as lesser by today's standards but I really think the resident evil one is really good and should be top tier.

So I know this sounds completely uninformed, but I'm confused as to why the "escaped asylum patient" costume wasn't cool when Bunny (not talking smack -- I love her) did a similar costume around the same time, and I've never heard her get any flack from it? Were people giving Sarah crap about the costume, or is she just canceling herself because of its problematic nature??
I’m just cancelling myself! lol it was because after that tutorial I went on to get my degree in psychology and do lots of videos about the stigma of mental illness so it looks bad on me to have that in my past. I don’t try to hide it or anything but feel the need to address how it’s problematic and shouldn’t have been done!

I can assure you, I did NOT hate on you for the gerard way look i literally used that tutorial for my costume last year, and the first time i saw it, it actually introduced me to mcr. Never forget your roots.

That’s one of my favorite looks she’s ever done! (Partially because that’s exactly how I’d dress every day if I could, haha)
I have a video idea if you want to do this: problematic Halloween costumes nobody talks about! I feel like many people know like the racist ones but then dress up as Ted Bundy, thinking its not problematic. It would be so great if you would help people with this

Hi Sarah! I was wondering if you could make a video/list of horror movies that don't have the "pets dying" cliche?
It'd be super helpful for people like me who love animals and has anxiety, but still want to enjoy some horror movies!

My mom was super Christian, and I never got to celebrate Halloween growing up. I think I dressed up once after I was out of high school? Kind of sucks. And I'm sober, so I don't go to any parties. I'M SO LAME.

I love this, what a great video idea. If you haven't already, could you make a video discussing the Marilyn Manson issue? Or at least touching on it. As a former fan, I have heard things as well & don't have too much time to look into details and find the real facts... as we all know the internet is also buried in misinformation. I often refer people to your videos when I need to highlight a point outside my field (I work in animal rescue and my priorities/research is pretty taken up with all of that..). It would just be an overall helpful video, in my opinion :) love all your videos! Thanks Sarah

I think you can’t trust any celebrity, those are people that you’ll never really know. You like what they’re doing, sure, you like their movies, their musics, but you can’t like a celebrity personally, you can’t be « shocked » when you hear they’re r*pists or anything because they’re literally strangers
Hey Sarah, I just wanted to let you know that I know you do a lot of series talking about how mental health merch is super problematic, so I just wanted to let you know that the shirt you're wearing in this video is sort of along the same vein y'know? Like addiction is a real mental illness that effects people and wearing a "horror movie addict" shirt is pretty equivalent to wearing a shirt that says "ocd" or "so bipolar" imo. Obvi that's up for interpretation but I just thought I'd say something i guess

The Babadook one was my favourite, I actually used that tutorial to put together my look for an event I was performing at, so thanks! The Evil Dead one was amazing too.

Never knew that about Manson. I was never really a fan of his, but now that I looked it up I 100% understand why you don't support him any more.
I never heard of it either, just looked it up and WOW. Good on her for not supporting him, that’s so wrong.

I just googled it and wasn't able to find concrete accusations against Manson from Evan Rachel Wood. Her statements are to be taken very seriously, what she's been through seems absolutely awful, but she did not name anyone in particular. She appears to talk about the time she was dating MM, and that is hinting towards him being the culprit, but there is no certainty she is talking about him.
@@louibeans There isn't really anyone else it could be, and other exes of Manson have talked or hinted at him being abusive as well so it's pretty much certain that it's about him, she just can't name him without exposing herself to legal action and retraumatizing
Marylin Manson also hints at this in his high end of low album

You should see my sorry ass try for the Black Parade Gerard that I made myself to be on my last day of High Scool when the seniors dress up to some theme and do all sorts of misdevious things around the school and City and our theme was Heros and Villans. I was thinking how clever I was to do a double take since I concidered him as both the here and the villan. Lol
