Watching the evolution of Laravel from the sidelines, while working in the JavaScript/React ecosystem day-to-day, has been wonderful. I am glad I got to be part of adjacent circles to Laravel through my work with Tailwind Labs and by being a speaker at Laracon AU (I am back in November 2024)! The community is indeed amazing and so supportive, I have many good friends there ❤
Amazing development! byte5 is a longterm Laravel partner and we're proud to see our favourite framework growing and striving. Keep up the great work, Taylor!
Sir, I am a 20-year-old web developer from India 🇮🇳, currently in New Delhi. I have never been to school, but I found someone who taught me about computers . That's when I started learning about computers, and eventually, I began learning coding languages . When I got into Laravel, I landed my job, and Laravel changed my life . I didn't complete my college education, and I am currently in 10th grade . I just want to say thank you to you .
Laravel aside, someone needs to praise Aaron once again! It shouldn't be me, of course. He's charismatic, has the right timing for his speeches, asks the right questions, doesn't interrupt people, is photogenic, speaks very well, speaks English at a professorial level - easy to understand for non-fluent speakers like me, and is full of jokes. Aaron is a kind of framework for presenters. I dare say that Aaron is the right model of presenter for the Laravel community. If Laravel had to be on a TV show, let it be with a presentation by Aaron!
Great community! I'm from Electrical and Computer Engineering background. Thanks to my internship period, now I'm laravel developer. Laravel changed my life. Thank you artisans 💪
I'm very skeptical. Investment fund feels "very passionate" about Laravel community. You know what that means, right? That's where they see their return of investment will come from. Yes, from the "passionate community" or in other words - you and me.
I believe that a large part of the community would agree that PHP should be maintained by Taylor Otwell and the Laravel team. Much of the language's popularity is due to Laravel and WordPress. If it were up to Zend to keep organizing talks and conferences to promote PHP, it would have died many years ago.
Congrats to Taylor and the (growing) Laravel team! However, I take exception to hearing Homestead "was" a great solution. Homestead IS STILL meta for Windows users that run Horizon.
Laravel is awesome never ever I saw. At present I am working as a Software developer in TwiteSoft Software company . I am a university 2nd year student in CSE.
Laravel will always be remembered as one of the greatest. That is why I chose it to make my Game of Thrones app. Will Laravel Cloud have horizontal and vertical scaling? I have a hard time with Docker right now.
Is there any customer support role in Laravel at the moment or in near future? I would love to be part of Laravel while doing my favorite thing of helping people!
Getting good day by day But i would like if you give more in Api development using Laravel. There is no starter kit for Laravel api and there are some hustle in creating password reset like for frontend. have to go to app service provider and write code. would love it if you give concentration in Laravel Api as backend as you are giving Laravel as full stack using inertia....
When laravel did this - it got praises, when vercel did it - its getting bashed, even tho most of the tools for laravel are paid even an extension while JavaScript libraries getting hate on monetizing auth that uses infrastructure, life is so unfair man
what do you mean most tools, we don't pay for auth, dark mode, multi-factor auth, monitoring and alot more, most paid products are what i like to think of them as 'luxuries' and not necessities example backpack, nova, spark
Perhaps Taylor will announce an open source Livewire UI component library to go alongside the paid Flux library. IMO having only a paid UI library is actually against the ethos of Laravel.
@@sidscorner1 Not at all. I am not suggesting that Caleb shouldn't be able to offer his efforts as a chargeable product, nor am I saying that Laravel shouldn't give Flux an official status. But what I am saying is that Laravel should NOT offer Flux as the only official Livewire UI Component library when there are others out there that are also good and are free (like Filament Forms for example). I recognise that both Livewire 3 AND Flux are technically excellent products - I was extremely impressed with the excellence of Flux as shown in Caleb's Laracon demo, but personally this looks like giving Caleb this status only because he is already an author of official Livewire.
@@ChristopheLimpalair IME raising funding specifically to allow a commercial service to be launched is not an issue and is actually a sensible thing to do. Laravel Cloud is also a sensible thing. So, this announcement is not in itself a bad thing at all. But it remains to be seen whether this is going to result in a change of focus away from free open source offerings.

Super cool!!! Very excited for the future of Laravel, thank you Taylor for creating top class products.
Please don't turn into Hashicorp. I came to Laravel for the community. I want to stay for the community.
Congrats! Long live Laravel 🎉
What an absolute legend, so happy for Taylor, thanks for giving us so many hours of enjoyable development.
Let’s gooooo! Laravel forever!
Looking forward to the special announcement
Such brilliant news, well done Taylor and the whole Laravel team.
Laravel is so addictive, Thanks Taylor for working on it everyday.
such a proud moment. love watching the continued success of taylor and laravel
Imagine if DHH joined forces with a VC like Accel. Oh wait, Taylor Otwell just did that with Laravel! 🤯
Oh, God. Laravel Cloud about to become new Vercel in terms of marketing and sponsoring content creators.
I'm excited for the future of Laravel and its team, but I'm still a little worried about where this will bring the company.
Lots of Lamborghinis on the way. Much deserved :)
Thanks for being this transparent. Can´t wait for the future.
I would love to see an integration for k8s from laravel to make it as easy as it was docker compose with laravel breeze..
The guy doesn't have to do it at that scale and yet he is doing it.... GOAT
hi laracon 👋
congrats! can't wait to see what coming next
Wow, this is so exciting! Laravel will be even stronger! 👏🏻
11 years ago I tried Laravel and since that day its my number one tool ❤
Great interview, I really think Laravel needs to get Erin on their team, such amazing speaker! I definitely need to check out the cloud right away.
Congrats Laravel Team and Taylor!
do i have to learn kotlin now?
Glad it's just an interview about Laravel Cloud

its my dream know i want to join laravel as a interne
I want in on the IPO - $LRVL
Think i missed what the special announcement was 😅
How did you miss it? It's even in the title 🤔
Great news ❤
In 8 days ?
Come back bro, it started!
I love laravel than ever
Please create laravel for api / restful api only without web or something 🙏
Hi laracon
how investors will get back their money and profit ? is some open source Laravel project will becomes premium ?
i am so happy and sad with laravel
happy bcz i found it eventually and web dev finally made sense
sad bcz i didn't find it sooner

Laravel is the standard of Web framework.
Cheese 😢
When you make it just as easy to create desktop and mobile applications for all platforms with PHP backend...then Laravel will be top dog...
Homestead IS good. Still use it ;)
I will still use vapor as much better for adult content as vm you have noise neighbours issue.
Taylor will become a Billionaire wether he wants it or not, might take some years, but it will come. And he should.
also sold laravel to company... ( if you check LLC you will find it)
