- A little video of the last Christmas shoot. Not many shot especially on my part, but a fab day had by all!

Lovely video, and even lovlier to see a lady so enjoying fieldsport. I can't imagine a day afield without my beautiful English bride and her handsome AyA 28 bore side-by-side; and while I shoot as well, often time I'm content just to watch her shooting our birds, walked-up, over the points of our English setter, Bentley. It's a wonderful thing to see women taking-up shooting and fishing in the 21st century. Thank you for your channel and charm, a 'breath of fresh air' and most enjoyable!

@@bigdghost3319I was extremely chuffed with the rook shooting, we managed to get so many. Hopefully I’ll be back out at it in a few months time. I’m never going to be the best shot but I still love it, I need to practice my swing through as I do stop my gun the vast majority of the time🤦🏼♀️Definitely, social media is a fab way to store memories🙌🏼

Another great video, I’ve never been on a game shoot and it’s great learning what goes on when beating and shooting. I love how honest you are unlike some shooters on UA-cam. I’ve been shooting for 45 years but my quarry was mainly rabbits foxes and corvid’s mostly rifles but it didn’t matter if I was out all night or all day and never shot anything, it was being out in the countryside and fresh air for me. Yes it’s a bonus if you can bring something home but it’s being out in the countryside that really counts. That’s why I love your videos I get chance to see all of that beautiful countryside, please keep them coming for 2024 wishing you a wonderful Merry Christmas 🎄 ❤

I 100% am not the best shot, I need a lot of practice but life definitely gets in the way, just so much going on 🤦🏼♀️😂 Some days I’m better than others and it does depend what peg your on, especially with the smaller shoots. I’m definitely trying to show both sides of the line, I really want to show all aspects. Hope you’re having a lovely Boxing Day and wishing you a very Happy New Year🎉

One mistake I made, which you can see on my footage when shooting pheasants, I didn’t set my feet properly. Easy mistake when you’re overly excited when a birds coming towards you. Glad you had fun though that’s the important bit👍🏼👍🏼
So much fun, I need to pay to get my Beretta adjusted, it simply doesn’t fit me 🥺 but I don’t ever want to sell it 😅

At the moment I use foam ear plugs as I find them really comfortable and for me they work

For me mild on Christmas Day is 30 c
It’s crazy this winter, it can be mild in the morning and warmer in the afternoon or vice versa. I just take layers with me normally, then I can peel them off 😂

If you can teach yourself a swing through method of shooting on the clays course, it translates beautifully to game shooting. Because the lead is built in due to the gun speed required to accelerate through the target, the “lead” is automatically accounted for in the swing through the bird, target angle and speed is no issue. I think you just need some confidence. Before you can hit the target, you must believe you can hit it. Keep your head on the gun and keep the gun moving. You got this!
Swinging through is my main issue, I’m very good at stopping the gun. I 100% need to get my Beretta adjusted, I desperately need an adjustable comb as it simply does not fit me and I’ve known for years that it doesn’t 😂 I will get it sorted in the new year after beaters day

When I watch the British clay sports and hunting videos I get the idea this is a very expensive upper class pursuit in Britain. Te clothing and the price of your guns seem very high. In Canada it is expensive but is still very much so a working class pursuit.
Pheasant shooting can be, your smaller shoots (40-60 bird days) are around £200-£350 depending on where in the country you are. Your larger days are anywhere between £1500-£3000
It completely depends where you shoot, you can get a peg for a couple of hundred pounds if you share which is a lot of fun, and commercial shoots can go up to £5k+. Depends where you are in the country and how big the bag is…that’s also before any overages and if you would like lunch or dinner afterwards
I really don't no why you want a 28g load in a 20bore 🙄not necessary light gun, 21,24g plenty and people always say how the cartridge is gonna perform, certainly better and consistent than most gun's, never the cartridge.....
Haha I prefer freedom fractions of an ounce and a quarter in a three inch shell…. I guess metric birds give up as easily as the French? Just having fun, merry Christmas!

Do try to relax… take a deep breath… Assumptions are a bad look. Sometimes indoor kids don’t understand what outdoor kids do. The chit chat about loads and equipment are a part of friendly outdoor conversation. Go outside and be friendly, be sturdy try to smile.
Maybe she doesn’t have a 12 bore. Lots of people have the 20 for versatility.

just read apocalyptic??? comment??? whoever they are they have never shot game. most people who experienced in game shooting use 32 or above and no higher than six shot.you would have animals wounded running around everywhere on your suggestion.clays yes game no way

Someone told him that the real money is in Big Bird shoots. 💵💰
So he has got some of the Beaters 😔 and glued yellow feathers all over them and stuck a orange bird beak on them.
He now gets them to run up and down the gun line about 60yrds out.
while the guns take pot shots at them.😳
