The path is a very very peculiar one where one needs self reassurance and courage. So few understand it and so few choose to walk it willingly. I only came to recognize the truth but scaling up my observation of life by a factor of years, instead of looking at moments upon moments. When you look at years you see birth and decay as a constant - whereas when you look at moments by moments you see growth and development. It's a strange reality. How a change in time changes the perspective. Although moments have taught me how to value life but when you look at the years upon years you do see a drama and a cycle. Walaykum salaam, no sect, as the Prophet ﷺ said to stay with the main body of Muslims as they will not agree on an error. That being said, it is important for each to have a lineage for the fundamental aspects of Islamic knowledge, the primary ones being the external (fiqh, for me primarily Hanafi) and the internal (tazkiyyah, primarily Naqshbandi). These are not meant to divide nor to identify with as a form of cultish clique, but simply to establish a chain of transmission directly to the Prophet ﷺ from amongst universally recognized lineages. And Allah Almighty knows best.
