God’s will be done, I’ll accept it and adapt either way, I feel.
IDK if I was lucky, but it’s been over 9 months and I don’t crave a drop of alcohol, the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal after go’ogling and reading Steffon Barkload’s Quit Drinking Forever, not even within the first 30 days after I quit and told no one, did not need AA meetings or meds either.
I’ve sustained abstinence from alcohol for years at a time. The disease was still there tho, and manifested as a hundred other symptoms. I was a dry drunk until got drunk again. I now treat the problem with the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, one day at a time.
