Thanks for the upload & your accompaniment Ben, I'm sure it's given pleasure to many. Side note I believe Harry Pollard was Australian, born in Melbourne as was I.

I love Harold, although this one's just as imitative of Chaplin as Lloyd's earlier Lonesome Luke films, despite the new character. It's basically a knock-off of BEHIND THE SCREEN, with one particular bit of derby hat business shamelessly purloined from THE RINK. And check out his little prancy jump at 7:06! SERIOUS Charlie channeling. But, it's undeniably fun, and Ben's score is terrific.
Yeah, I know, Charlie is guilty of lifting bits of business from other comics, the most famous example being the dance of the dinner rolls he lifted from Arbuckle, but he vastly improved on it and made it his own, turning a brief throwaway bit into a magnificently memorable set piece.

June Havoc, the Dainty June of Vaudeville fame and sister of Gypsy Rose Lee, supposedly is in this (and other Lloyd shorts of 1918). Was this originally a 2-reeler or is a chunk missing?

+drednm Ed this is from Lloyd's series of one-reelers before he moved the glasses character into 2r's.

Not funny just a few mishaps. The acting was ok, it's just the writer was not creative
