    Quick Update. I actually contacted Fanttik directly and asked about the battery in the Costco S100 Apex. They responded and told me that it has 3X2600mah batteries for a total of 7800mah which is the same identical battery pack that is in the more expensive X8 APEX model. So both units are virtually identical. So do yourself a favor and buy the Costco Unit in store for $39.95 which is less than half of the price of the X8 APEX.

    I bought the X8 Apex a couple of years ago. I've only used it a few times, but it works great. When I saw this at Costco, I didn't realize the numbers were different, just knew it looked the same, so made assumptions. Had to look it up (which is how I found this video). Anyway, I bought my X8 directly from Fanttik for just shy of $100. For $40, this thing is a steal! I keep the X8 on motorcycle, and this one will be going in the car.

    Here was the email I got from Fanttik on the COSTCO S100. Dear customer, Thank you very much for your attention in Fanttik. Regarding your inquiry about the S100 at Costco, it's the classic standard version of X8 APEX that sold online. When used as a tire inflator, S100 functions identically to X8 APEX. Other than that, X8 APEX is a newly upgraded version that also functions as an air compressor for nail guns. S100 doesn't have this function. Hopefully our explanation is helpful for you. Please feel free to contact us when you need any assistance, we are always at your service. Best Regards, Poly

    Currently it's on sale at Costco Canada for CAD $70 (around US $52) and I'm trying to decide between this one and a very similar one from different brand that is the best seller on Amazon for CAD $40 (US $30). Both have the same features: inflator, auto stop, power bank, flash light. The differences are, the Amazon one has an additional cigarette lighter charger cable (good for my old car) and is attached to the valve by tightening with a lever while the Fanttik S100 at Costco is screwed in and I'm not sure which one will be better, the biggest difference however for my buying decision is the Amazon one is 6000mAh and the Costco one is 7800mah and I'm not sure how that difference will affect the performance.

    I have this pump as well and it says in the instructions and on the box that it's powered by 2600mah battery. However, Costco online says it's 7800mah like the X8 apex pump is.
    So, is the Costco version online better than the version in the Costco store or has Costco made a mistake online ?

    The S100 APEX is Identical to the more expensive X8 APEX by Fanttik with the difference that the X8 APEX that Fanttik sells has a 7800mah battery (Actually 3 x 2600 mah batteries side by side) and this less expensive version sold by Costco according to the Box and the Manual inside the Box list the S100 APEX only having a 2600mah battery. The funny thing is that on my kitchen scale both units weigh exactly the same.

      What is a presta?

      It’s a type of valve. It’s used on a lot of road bikes because they are thinner than the Schrader valve so the wheels can be more narrow.

    does it deflate balls?

    • @CharlieAlbrightPianist
      @CharlieAlbrightPianist  2 місяці тому +1

      Don’t think so. Think you’ve got to deflate them manually and then use this to inflate to your desired psi.

    To have enough juice to inflate a car tire, you have to have a big batter. D-U-H

      Not sure if it will inflate a car tire from completely flat, but this seems to handle a low tire pretty well. 😄

    I would read the manual first instead of trying to guess what the buttons do.

      @@CharlieAlbrightPianist I just bought this unit from Costco. It says to fully charge it before first use. I'm not sure if that's critical, but I went ahead and did that anyway. It works great, but my issue with it is that it takes forever to fully charge. I'm keeping it though. Thanks for the video.

    Idk if im using mine wrong, but i just unboxed. The tire on my car was at 11. It took me about 10 min to get it to 30 psi. It went to 34 psi then back down to 30 psi. It stayed at 30 psi and wouldnt go past it so i just turned it off. After all that fighting, it drained half the battery. 🪫

      I inflated my spare tire from around 11psi (I think) to 36psi and that took awhile (maybe 10-15 minutes if I remember correctly?). So the time might be due to the tire being so under inflated. But, I'm not sure why your tire would be deflating from 34psi to 30psi...did it continue to deflate after that? Maybe your tire has a leak somewhere? Keep us posted if you figure it out! :)
