Yea he is amazing for sure. You might already know this but he credits alot of what he learned his early years to Caleb Scofield of Cave In. He passed in 2018 but his influence lives on man. Check out the albums Jupiter, antenna, tides of tomorrow and heavy pendulum. Your welcome. 😊
@@jermiller1985 Caleb was a fucking beast. So so sad that he passed in 18. Cave in and Thrice are two bands are just incredibly tight. Eddies screams for Silhouette are very like a Caleb type.
The maturization of Dustin as a vocalist, along with the way the band has gotten tighter with their performances and capability has been so much fun to listen to and compare over and over. By far my favorite band 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Absolutely. There's something about listening to the classic recordings and then hearing those songs live more recently, it just feels like you're hearing the perspective and experiences of the narrator change with time. It's one of my favourite things about music.
@@iLLuzion1st I’ll be honest, a Beatles cover wouldn’t have been my choice, I was speaking mainly to their original work. I’ve always felt The Beatles were overrated, but do have an appreciation for their place in early rock history. Dustin has done a lot of covers independently, mainly aiming for emotionality driven songs, but even this might have been his choice because of a propensity towards love songs.
Fantastic! The folks at Ernie Ball truly recognize good music. Thrice is an amazing band, they don't get enough credit. Their body of work is unreal. Thank you Ernie Ball. As a musician myself, I always choose Ernie Ball.
All credit to Thrice. They always sound amazing and are one of my top bands. Not sure who Scott Evans is and if he works with Thrice or with Ernie ball, but holy crap the mixing is epic. Hats off to everyone involved in making this and thank to Ernie Ball for putting such a great and underrated band in the spotlight!
They just sounds better and better. That musical maturity on their album hits. It hits hard hearing them play these older songs with even more richness.
When a band covers the Beatles and I don’t recognize the original, they’ve crossed into legendary status. Thrice remains my favorite band from when I was rocking Identity Crises as a teen to know ❤
Black Honey was the song that got me into Thrice. That album To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere is a fantastic album I love every song off it. Along with their last album Horizons East & Palms also very good. I prefer Thrice's more rock sounding experimental era over their post hardcore stuff. Looking forward to whatever comes next from them!
Everything about this is amazing! Camera work! Lighting! Audio Engineering! Editing! Performance! Vocals! Nostalgia! Thank you for this! I knew as a teenager Thrice was more than a phase band. Their music endures!
What an amazing band to grow up with and mature along side of. Im super happy they didnt stay the same as they were back in 2003. Its always weird seeing bands at 40 still trying to rock the same style as those days. These guys will forever be at the top of my all time list.
Silhouette was my introduction to Thrice seeing them live at Taste of Chaos tour and the rest is history. I’d go on to champion this band for decades introducing everyone I knew to them ❣️🙂↕️🤘🏻
This band is one of the greatest. Sounding as great as they did 20 years ago! Dustin is looking really trim and healthier than he has done in years too
This is awesome!! I got tickets to see them for the anniversary of Beggars in San Francisco. Super underrated band. Their cover of 1979 form the Smashing Pumpkins it's just pure gold!!
One of my all time favorite bands. Saw them do this live for 20th anniversary of Artist in the Ambulance and it was so good. Still sad that they hate to play my favorite song though….😭
I’ve seen them live several times, and this really captures how good they are live, and Ed’s bass tone sounds massive as always. Been a fan since Illusion of Safety, and they just get better and better as time goes on
Glad go see they are still at it I first saw them play at Biola. Got a wrist band at Virgin Records when their new album came out in 2002? They played a private show it was amazing. And at the GlassHouse and chain reaction. Gosh I feel old that feels like a lifetime ago ❤
This has to be a precursor to Warped Tour 2025. Thrice on Ernie Ball stage INCOMING!!!! Ive seen Thrice 20+ times and still get chills each show. See you in Nov!
Thrice marks a beaty stage of my life. So glad to see this guys playing again. but... PLEASE MAKE A LIVE STUDIO ESPECIAL "THE ARTIST IN THE AMBULANCE" ANNIVERSARY 🤩
The selection of songs was absolutely perfect! I'm thrilled that we received three songs instead of just one. The mix was flawless, and the visuals were stunning ❤️ The Beatles cover was especially fantastic! 🎉🎉
Thank the universe for Thrice, amen 🙏 The sludgy heaviness at the end gave me New Damage (Soundgarden) and From Can To Can’t (Corey Taylor) guitar steps vibes, I’m all for it 🎸
Thank-you Ernie Ball & Thrice! Always happy seeing Teppei's custom and Dustin's signature. Fellas have you replaced your Helix units and returned to pedals? Would love updates on your rigs for both studio and live work. Love you Thrice and forever a customer of Ernie Ball for everything with strings! Thanks again everyone; epic!
One of the most underrated bands in the game!
They still sell out big venues here in mid Europe ❤
Facts 💯
Don't know them, but it feels so generic ...
Thrice is not underrated in US lol
@@littlebendy_I feel the same way. Thrice is definitely a good solid band. But there’s never been anything that’s jumped out and captivated me.
Thrice is a “zero skips” band. I often listen through all of their albums. So, so good.
Silhouette still has one of the hardest intros in the scene, even after all these years! 🤙🏽
Man, I could feel the hair on my 17 year old self stand on edge. I'm 39 by the way.
Eddie is one of the major reasons I got into playing bass. His tones are unreal honestly.
Thrice will always be my favourite band, hugely underrated.
Hoods on Peregrine bass line 🤤

They are a very influencie to me and my whole band. Maybe do you like ua-cam.com/video/chKDNCRvSKY/v-deo.htmlsi=soIQsGDL1gbMLm1U 😊
Same!

Silhouette such a banger 20 years later
I still say that Alchemy Index I-IV is one of the greatest musical undertakings ever.
Agreed! The thing about Thrice is all of their albums are perfect in their own ways
The maturization of Dustin as a vocalist, along with the way the band has gotten tighter with their performances and capability has been so much fun to listen to and compare over and over. By far my favorite band 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
So true man, couldn’t agree more with everything you said… literally was just saying this to a friend the other day.
Absolutely. There's something about listening to the classic recordings and then hearing those songs live more recently, it just feels like you're hearing the perspective and experiences of the narrator change with time. It's one of my favourite things about music.
Agreed on all counts. Saw them in Austin last year and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. These guys just keep getting better.
I couldn’t disagree more, it makes me sad hearing them butcher this super easy song

“I see Thrice, I click” button--->
My favorite band of all-time. Everything they do is so good.
Amazing. That first harmony of Dustin, Teppei, and Ed singing heavy was 🔥
The production on this sounds INCREDIBLE! Awesome job to the team and of course the band as well!
Would make a nice little EP on vinyl IMO.
My favorite band for the last 22 years and likely the rest of my life.
Also been my favorite band for 22 years, never get tired of listening to them!
@@TheMontogtriple same! 21 years I think for me.
Samsies!
The Beatles cover is absolutely sick! I want you is one of my favorite Beatles songs and they kill it.
I always loved their Helter Skelter cover too
I love when they did Eleanor Rigby. That was amazing!
Dustin still has such a flawless scream, I wish he did it more often on their newer music! Favorite band since Illusion of Safety.
They remade AITA and did a whole tour, in addition to the B-side and some songs from H/E
Never heard of Thrice before Ernie Ball made this video and very happy of found them! Great sound and awesome performance
you're in for a treat then...
You have some catching up to do! I wish I could hear all of their music again for the first time.
@@jakenord5027 those first 3 records were my early 20's. Made house parties go off!!!
Dustins vocals, man. With every passing year, they get better and better its incredible

Man, Dustin's voice aged just like fine wine!
Greatest sounding live band I have ever seen. Just amazing.
Ernie Ball has great taste in bands. Thrice helped shape who I am musically today. So much love for these dudes.

Such an awesome band and criminally underrated. One of my absolute favorite bands 🔥🔥🔥
They look and sound better than ever! Thrice, the underdog of yesterday and tomorrow.
They just sounds better and better. That musical maturity on their album hits. It hits hard hearing them play these older songs with even more richness.

When a band covers the Beatles and I don’t recognize the original, they’ve crossed into legendary status. Thrice remains my favorite band from when I was rocking Identity Crises as a teen to know ❤
They’re entering Soundgarden territory…all hands on deck 🤘

Thrice's level of polish in their writing, recording and performance is what I strive for. They're one of the greatest bands out there - full stop.

Still my favorite band over 20 years later
This rules. Thrice is my favorite band.

I remember seeing them in 2002 and they were amazing. They’ve aged incredibly well musically.

Thank you both (Eddie and Thrice) for doing what you do so well, so the rest of us can enjoy it
