Yes! Tape it up!!!! We had two mug presses gifted from my mom sitting at the house and I had never used it. I finally got around to using it and holy crap.. I caught the bug. I’ve made so many freaking mugs! I did mess up a few by not taping. Gotta tape! It makes a difference and It’s amazing how great they come out and how vibrant the colors are!!!
All are super useful tips! ❤️ and thank you so much for the tip on cotton gloves.. I am a bit shaky (and sweaty 🥴) at times, these will ensure I don't accidentally touch my sublimation sheets and ruin my project.
I am still hesitant to buy it - a lot of reviews on amazon say that the machine stopped working after a while and that it's heating uneven and burning the material in places... does anybody have any feedback on that? I am thinking about waiting for an updated version (which will hopefully come at some point)
Hi Rachel - do you know what the temp settings are i.e. first setting 120c? second setting 200c etc. I either melt my polymer cups or I don't do them long enough. Someone told me to do polymer, they need to be pressed at 165 for 100sec's.
I accidentally bought these infusible inks made for the mug press instead of the larger size infusible inks.. my question is what size are these mug press infusible inks cut to fit a mug for? like how many oz mugs?.. if that makes sense to you...
I am happy to hear that I can use my mug press with something different like the tumbler. I am going to subscribe and join I need to see that tumbler video. Thanks
Hey i hope you can help as i have asked the following question on sooo many cricut mugpress videos and noone knows..... when you do a full mug image ( basically a full colour rectangle strip from 1 side of the handle to the otherside) are the edges both sides of the handle faded where there is not enough heat? just i have a different mug press and i know i can go maybe 1cm each side of the mug handle with the image but sometimes those ends are very faded where the heat is not enough at the ends. does this happen with the cricut
They have to be a special kind of mug otherwise it won’t work but it doesn’t just have to be a cricut brand! They can be sublimation mugs but you have to have a specific kind of printer for sublimation to work!
I just ordered a Cricut Mug Press and can't wait to get it. I was wondering can I cut the Infusible Ink sheets with a ScanNCut? Have you ever done a video on that?
Thank you !! Can you use the mug press with vinyl ? Can you do stainless steel and vinyl or I fusible ink? Trying to decide whether to buy a press or no And do not want to get into sublimation at all
I have the Cricut Mug Press and was told that there was a chance that the card board wrap on the tumblers could catch on fire? I do use a strip of cut up silicone trivet to get excellent results. 😊 Also with your Membership would I be able to drop Cricut design space? Do you have your own design space? Thank you in advance
Hello friend! We do not have our own design space. Makers Gonna Learn is a membership website that works alongside Cricut Design Space with your machine. You do not have to pay to use Cricut Design Space, it is free to use.🙂
All of the products that you used in this video and linked above simply go to the Amazon home page rather than the product page itself. I can search Amazon using the product name ie. Brayer but I'd love to know which Brayer you are recommending specifically. Could your links be edited to allow them to link directly with the specific product rather than the Amazon homepage?

Thanks for sharing!
I just got my mug press at Michael's Black Friday sale. This video helped me SOOO much, Rachel. Thank you!
OMG you got a southern accent so I, as a fellow southerner know this is gonna be a good tutorial
Thank you!
Thank you for the cardboard hack! I haven't used my press yet and thought maybe I needed to buy another type of press for the tumblers.
Definitely the gloves. I did mess up one of my coasters. Color was not even. Thank you for the tips
You're welcome!🙂
Enjoy your teaching style! Thank you
Glad you enjoy them!
Thanks. The skinny tumbler hack was my favorite.
That's awesome!
I love your hacks. What do you do for ventilation when sublimating? Isn’t it toxic to breathe it?
All are super useful tips! ❤️ and thank you so much for the tip on cotton gloves.. I am a bit shaky (and sweaty 🥴) at times, these will ensure I don't accidentally touch my sublimation sheets and ruin my project.
Great video! I’ve messed up so so many mugs using my mug press and infusible ink. Do you have any tips ideas or how I can refurbish them?
Love the hack for the tall mug😁I am now a new member!
Welcome!❤
The little piece of fabric is polyester to test the infusible ink on. Infusible ink doesn’t work on cotton.
Great tips especially the white gloves and the mug heat press. I still haven't bought the press yet but it's on my list. Thanks!
You are so welcome!
As an artist, I need to know how to infuse my own art onto mugs.
Thanks for all the tips!!
You're so welcome!🙂
Cool, really appreciate all the tips. Who new!
Thank you for watching!
How do you stop the gridlines from the transfer paper from transferring on to the mug?

The heat resistant tape is about 1" wide? If not, please tell me, because the link takes me to a package of assorted widths.

Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching. 😊

Awesome! Thank you!
My issue is that CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK is not cutting properly, hard to cut? I have used all my roll & can’t get a good cut…any advice out there
You guys rock
Thank you so much!😊
One more question can the cotton gloves to keep from touching vinyl while weeding?
I’m a yearly member and I cannot find the video for doing tumblers with the mug press.
I was just looking and can't find it either!

Excellent tips. Thank you. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan
You're welcome, Susan!

Its work the money BUT I'm ono a limited income, and cant afford you monthly prices. I will continue to watch your UA-cam videos
Thank you for your support!
Coool…… thanks for allll the Tips, Rachel!
Any time!
Hello, I just received the mug press from my hubby for Christmas:-), can I use any mug I have with this press, or do they have to be cricut only mugs?
They have to be a special kind of mug otherwise it won’t work but it doesn’t just have to be a cricut brand!
They can be sublimation mugs but you have to have a specific kind of printer for sublimation to work!
Love them all. Thanks Rachel
Yay!! Glad you loved them!😊
Can u use the wants u get for the joy
When I was a little girl I wore cotton gloves to church and a doilies type hat ,lol
I just ordered a Cricut Mug Press and can't wait to get it. I was wondering can I cut the Infusible Ink sheets with a ScanNCut? Have you ever done a video on that?
I started out doing that because I had the mug press before I bought my Joy.
The vinal was a great tip
Thanks for watching!

Trying to decide whether to buy a press or no
And do not want to get into sublimation at all
Have you been able to figure out this answer? I have been trying to research it to find out for myself.

I love all your videos but in this video hack, you do not need to use the cardboard. The heat alone will be enough to sublimate the skinny mug. 😉
Thanks for the tip!
Hello everyone
Hello Tracy!🙂
That piece of material isn't cotton, it's polyester.
anyone tried using a mug press with a regular coffee cup and HTV or permanent vinyl?
Hi I’m in the UK can I get the deal for a $1 too
Yes, you can! makersgonnalearn.com/dollar-deal/
Can you just use your min press?
No, you need consistent pressure around the mug.
Put the plastic back on the mat…
