This game was my first REAL introduction into just how awesome and deep and layered the Marvel universe could be, and made me go wikipedia crazy looking up Marvel related stuff for years afterward. After getting into the comics themselves, however, I WISH they were ALL as awesome as this game and weren't such a mixed bag, especially now'adays.

This is why Doom IS in my humble opinion, the greatest villain of Marvel. Out of all of them: from Loki to Thanos to the Red Skull; this guy actually won! He conquered the world, corrupted it, and was only stopped by folks with divine intervention. If it weren't for Fox, this guy could easily be the main antagonist of the MCU and be a total badass at it. He is the Darth Vader of Marvel (I can't prove this, but I think Doom may have actually influenced the creation of Vader).
Ragnarok Not to this degree. He not only won, he conquered the Earth and corrupted its heroes. It literally took the intervention and guidance of a god to stop him.
Got to hand it for that Asgardian guard, he watched his comrade sacrifice himself before being crushed and then charged at a horde of failed super soldiers without any fear or hesitation, and even managed to knock 5 of them into the air.
If you talk to Thor at Stark tower in MUA2 he tells you about how the heroes of earth defeated Galactus when he came to earth looking for revenge. Galactus was basically defeated off screen which is dumb as hell but at least we know that it happened I guess.
My dad got me a Marvel Encyclopedia and this game one year, so many characters and I loved it. I still remember a lot of these cutscenes. Very well made 💯
This game really felt like an epic fantasy tale with superheroes in it. And man, Doom is amazing as the “Dark Lord”. One day cinema will discover one tenth of his potential as a villain, and that day I’ll be very, very happy.

It's not even just Colossus and Cyclops. You see Hulk, Professor X, Gambit and even Magneto all laying unconscious. There's a few others i can't make out. Truly a sad scene. Kinda gets weird when you have Colossus, Magneto or Cyclops on your team while doing the final mission. Not as weird as Nightcrawler choosing to save Nightcrawler and Jean in Mephisto's Realm then killing his other self

This game is so amazing and its such a huge part of my life tbh. On my play through, I always have wolverine on my team. Why? Because he literally just refuses to die. There have been multiple times when all 3 other characters were dead and wolverine's just like "I'm the best at what I do" and takes on the boss single handedly
I remember being an 11 year old kid feeling lost playing this game, but enjoyed every teleportation with the Nightcrawler!!! (I never finished playing it. Haha)
Galactus should have been the main villain/threat for Ultimate Alliance 2, not the shitty half ass Civil War story, they didn't even follow through with that story from the comics or kill Cap off,anyways, Galactus is the shit and I hope to see him properly in a live action movie one day...AND NOT AS A GIANT CLOUD!!...lol

That's not the way I see it. Every other hero in that room was dead(with the exception of Collosus, the guy with steel for skin), and yet Cyclops was still breathing. And Cyclops is no match for Doom, yet he still tried to pull off one last attack against him if it meant giving his comrade a chance to escape. Now that's a badass.
Is it so difficult to make a movie with this dark concept?, every doom scene looks great, the moment where he was destroying colossus makes him look so evil and so strong when he easily reflect cyclops ray, without any words, just the scene is enough, wow, I dream with a movie with this kind of focus, is worth dreaming on it

Doom requires a movie produced by David Fincher, Christopher Nolan and another yet to be seen genius in movie making collaboration to really do justice to the depth and epicness the character represents. He is simply the GOAT of marvel.

Doom requires a movie produced by David Fincher, Christopher Nolan and another yet to be seen genius in movie making collaboration to really do justice to the depth and epicness the character represents. He is simply the GOAT of marvel.

He killed Charles Xavior, Magneto, gambit, rouge, Cyclops and Hulk, then corrupted Colossus.

***** and fox kinda of messed up sabertooth. THe first movie was the best one they had and they killed him off. Then origins completely messed up sabertooth. ANd lets not forget, they messed up venom in spiderman 3 sooo bad.

Because the hulk is nowhere NEAR Odin's full power and because the player still has access to Thor, Ms. Marvel, Dr. strange, and Silver Surfer (if they unlocked him by this point), all of whom are on Hulks level and can do some pretty impressive things beyond mere smashing, though all except Strange are good at that as well.
