This game was my first REAL introduction into just how awesome and deep and layered the Marvel universe could be, and made me go wikipedia crazy looking up Marvel related stuff for years afterward. After getting into the comics themselves, however, I WISH they were ALL as awesome as this game and weren't such a mixed bag, especially now'adays.

This is why Doom IS in my humble opinion, the greatest villain of Marvel. Out of all of them: from Loki to Thanos to the Red Skull; this guy actually won! He conquered the world, corrupted it, and was only stopped by folks with divine intervention. If it weren't for Fox, this guy could easily be the main antagonist of the MCU and be a total badass at it. He is the Darth Vader of Marvel (I can't prove this, but I think Doom may have actually influenced the creation of Vader).
Ragnarok Not to this degree. He not only won, he conquered the Earth and corrupted its heroes. It literally took the intervention and guidance of a god to stop him.
Did you notice how Watcher was talking about Doom corupting people and than showed Collosus being corupted ( who's like one of the nicest heroes around).
Got to hand it for that Asgardian guard, he watched his comrade sacrifice himself before being crushed and then charged at a horde of failed super soldiers without any fear or hesitation, and even managed to knock 5 of them into the air.
If you talk to Thor at Stark tower in MUA2 he tells you about how the heroes of earth defeated Galactus when he came to earth looking for revenge. Galactus was basically defeated off screen which is dumb as hell but at least we know that it happened I guess.
Nick Forbes Bro, the actual graphics in this game are dogshit. The cutescenes were designed on their own, while the MUA 2 cutscenes were using its game engine
Malik Jones this game was a lot more vibrant and interesting. Sure 2 had the best graphics but half of the cutscenes had a gray hue that made it less interesting
This game really felt like an epic fantasy tale with superheroes in it. And man, Doom is amazing as the “Dark Lord”. One day cinema will discover one tenth of his potential as a villain, and that day I’ll be very, very happy.

It's not even just Colossus and Cyclops. You see Hulk, Professor X, Gambit and even Magneto all laying unconscious. There's a few others i can't make out. Truly a sad scene. Kinda gets weird when you have Colossus, Magneto or Cyclops on your team while doing the final mission. Not as weird as Nightcrawler choosing to save Nightcrawler and Jean in Mephisto's Realm then killing his other self

On my play through, I always have wolverine on my team. Why? Because he literally just refuses to die. There have been multiple times when all 3 other characters were dead and wolverine's just like "I'm the best at what I do" and takes on the boss single handedly

And Cyclops is no match for Doom, yet he still tried to pull off one last attack against him if it meant giving his comrade a chance to escape. Now that's a badass.
I remember being an 11 year old kid feeling lost playing this game, but enjoyed every teleportation with the Nightcrawler!!! (I never finished playing it. Haha)

The same thing that allow Master Chief to flip an over 60 ton scorpion tank while your playing because how else are you going to use the tank if its flipped even though all of the cannon material says he's barely above a Class 1 (meaning, he can only lift 1 ton).
Prince Gray Because the hulk is nowhere NEAR Odin's full power and because the player still has access to Thor, Ms. Marvel, Dr. strange, and Silver Surfer (if they unlocked him by this point), all of whom are on Hulks level and can do some pretty impressive things beyond mere smashing, though all except Strange are good at that as well.
Doom requires a movie produced by David Fincher, Christopher Nolan and another yet to be seen genius in movie making collaboration to really do justice to the depth and epicness the character represents. He is simply the GOAT of marvel.

I seem to remember that in MUA2 you can talk to one of the characters in Stark Tower and they mention that Galactus tried to get his revenge and was stopped by Thor....sucks that they dismissed an epic idea with one sentence and went with a civil war idea

What I don't understand is that the real Colossus gets corrupted by Dr. Doom, yet Colossus is always available to join your team.
Gameplay mechanics, man. Gameplay mechanics. The same thing that allow Master Chief to flip an over 60 ton scorpion tank while your playing because how else are you going to use the tank if its flipped even though all of the cannon material says he's barely above a Class 1 (meaning, he can only lift 1 ton).

Because the hulk is nowhere NEAR Odin's full power and because the player still has access to Thor, Ms. Marvel, Dr. strange, and Silver Surfer (if they unlocked him by this point), all of whom are on Hulks level and can do some pretty impressive things beyond mere smashing, though all except Strange are good at that as well.
When I first played this game, I don't think I saw X2 yet, so I feel in love with Nightcrawler after watching this.

Doom requires a movie produced by David Fincher, Christopher Nolan and another yet to be seen genius in movie making collaboration to really do justice to the depth and epicness the character represents. He is simply the GOAT of marvel.
