I usually don't comment on videos. I don't know how many videos I searched and watched, how many google searches I did. Nothing helped or made it easy for me to understand. But, your video was exactly what I was looking for! I finally understood it all! Finally the pieces came together. And this video is one of the reasons that I got my boat certificate today! Thank you so much for this video and excellent explanation! Regards from Sweden!
This is great, I wasn’t able to understand in class and it was so frustrating. The way you explained it was so clear and concise. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!
Great video. I am currently studying materials for the UV six pack. The instructions I am following state to bring my fingers together to create a "position box" and then use my dividers to find the fix from there. Similar instructions when charting a DR angle. This leads to some inaccuracy because there is no way to keep things exact drawing your fingers across a chart. Are tools allowed during exams so that there is no margin of error? EG I just did a DR and was off by 3 degrees because I am using my fingers rather than a straight edge. Any thoughts?
@@capt.jamieshaffer4075 Thank you. Do you know if there is any margin of error allowed when plotting a DR? Even w/ all tools at my disposal I am sometimes +/- one degree.
Great content!
Keep going!

You are absolutely allowed to use chart plotting tools for your exams.

It really depends on if you are plotting a set and drift problem. If so, you can be a few degrees off on the degrees.
