Haney's competition went only climbed 14 lbs during his 8 year reign. In the current age, people want to gain 15 to 20 lbs a year, yet most don't look much better! Remember, stimulate, don't annihilate!
I really admire Haney for making the decision to spend the rest of his years focusing on his community, children at risk in the community, and trying to do something positive.
Now that's what I call a quality guest, Lee Haney. Lee did a guest spot/seminar back in the late 80's in my hometown of Exeter, UK. Wow, what a humble, peaceful, funny and intelligent soul. Bodybuilding is a better sport for his involvement in it. A true gentleman.🤗🤗
So many of the young and new crowd will discount Lee’s wisdom as an old man rambling. It is amazing how incredibly astute this guy is about bodybuilding AND life. People should hang on his every word. Such a humble gentleman and champion.

I want to hear Haney's opinion on the 1990 Olympia. I want to hear his REAL, candid opinion. He has talked about the show...but he talked about it as if it was any other show. I want to know what he thought about the testing...and what it felt like to essentially be forced to hit the stage smaller, softer and not at his best. It must have been very hard on the head. The next year, when things were back to normal, he came in at his biggest and at his all time best, beat Dorian and retired! He did it like the champ he is.

Haney himself had more than one year where he was 250 and in 1989 he came in at 259!

Back then you could get primo precontest. Off season, the 80's was D-bol, Deca and Anadrol with sustanon 250. Clenbuterol, t-3 and HGH were used only for cutting, these days people use those year round.
